I’ve been a user of Simple since 2012, and they’ve been with me through many different stages of my life. I’ve never had any complaints and have always found their features and service to be excellent — the app is no exception.


Good App/Bank until you have a problem...

I loved Simple until I had a problem with my account. Their customer service is worthless. I’ve been waiting over two weeks for a phone call back from one of their employees who was investigating fraudulent charges on my account. I’ve called and sent multiple messages...nothing. Absolutely nothing. I have never encountered a business with such terrible service. I cannot wait to close this account. Run while you still can!

Hi Simple Team, the app icon for Simple on my iPad appears to be broken. I have re-installed the app and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Please advise

I am worried that my goals and safe-to-spend are showing the incorrect amounts—either because of a bug or a new transaction archive setting. I’ve submitted a few support tickets recently related to reassigning transactions (e.g. changing a spend from savings goal to personal goal). For whatever reason I am unable to do this, even though I have never had trouble with it in the past. Now I keep getting an error message. This may be because I changed the name of the the goal or because the transaction had happened a week or so earlier—again, it’s only now an issue. Having grown tired of trying to reassign the goal, I tried removing it completely (thus putting the transaction back in safe-to-spend). Now, even though I know I put over $150 back in my safe-to-spend from the goal, neither my goal nor my safe-to-spend decreased or increased amounts (respectively). Something is very weird, and concerning. I really love Simple, but this is kind of a ridiculous for software problem.

Not a customer oriented bank

I had fraud on my account and this was clearly fraud and I was told over and over by bank representatives that I was wrong and I had no idea what I was talking about. They then continued to send me a list with why they concluded it was not fraud. Each account given by the agent was weak and easily disproved. I have never been more dissatisfied and frustrated while working with a bank. I was the victim of fraud amounting to $1,500.00 and this bank did nothing to keep my account secure or to help me through the process. They are no where near a customer oriented bank!
