Unreliable. Horrible Customer Service

These guys totally screwed me over. I reserved a dress (bridesmaid dress matching with four other girls) THREE months ago. They emailed me 1.5 week before the wedding telling me to pick something else because they can’t deliver it to me anymore. The excuse was ‘damaged OR returned late OR stuck in cleaning’. RTR offered to rent another dress ‘free of charge’ making it sound as if they are doing me a big favor. Um with only 1.5week left obviously there is not much available dresses left, and none of the dresses in stock were not even close to the originally requested dress. Don’t do it. Don’t ruin your special day. I don’t know what to do right now because I am the only bridesmaid without a dress. I emailed asking for other options. They replied back with the same answer ‘pick another dress’. LOL Follow-up: Cust. Service basically goes in circle. RTR asks to pick another dress>complaint email to RTR> customer service reply back 'pick another dress'>repeat. I tried the social media route which is just RTR replying 'sorry to hear that, please provide your order # and we will look into it', then provide the same 'pick another dress' answer. No offer for refund/partial refund/etc. I somehow managed to wear the backup size (didn't fit me) because I had no choice, but what was WORSE was, the other bridesmaid got a notice ONE DAY PRIOR To the wedding. She actually followed up with RTR several times to make sure the dress is going to come on time, because she was concerned about not receiving any shipment notice email from RTR like the other girls. Every single time she called, cust. rep ensured her she will get her dress, with overnight shipping. She was offered the same 'solution' from RTR- 'pick another dress'. It seems there are many upset customers with the same issue, and RTR's response starts with 'due to the nature of the business, availability of your dress highly depends on the person returning the dress before you...' if that is the nature of the business RTR, STOP advertising how your service is good for bridesmaid dresses!!! Weddings are such important once in a lifetime event for the brides, and worrying about whether or not the bridesmaid dresses will be available despite reserving ahead of time, should not be a stress factor. By the way, my dress came with stains at the bottom of the dress. Luckily(?) because the dress was too long for me, it didn't show as much. Also, the website doesn’t allow any review contents besides ‘fitting’ comments. My photo with the stain, and the negative review was filtered out did not get posted (I posted more than 10hours ago)

My closet is so much smiler (which is great for city living). Renting is also so much more environmentally friendly which is a big sell point for me. ???

This app never works for me! Every time I try and use it either can’t sign me in or shows an error message. Very frustrating mobile experience. Save the space on your phone and use the website!

This app would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the biggest problem!!! Scrolling through hundreds of dresses, go check a text and come back and it brings you all the way back to the top and clears some of your filters. So annoying and frustrating. Should be able to leave the app for 5 seconds without losing spot. Please fix!


App is Great - Unlimited Plan is Fun!

I am between sizes since having a baby a few months ago and decided to do the unlimited plan instead of buying new clothes every couple of months. It's great! Using the app I always scroll the new arrivals and "like" the pieces I want to rent. I even have categories like "every day" "work" and "Laura's Wedding." I have four pieces at home at any given time and always know what I'm going to order next. The ONLY downside for me is the time in transit-I wish my new pieces could ship as soon as the ones I'm returning are scanned as accepted by UPS. All in all - this is great, especially if you need dressier clothes. Fingers crossed they get more casual/athleisure soon!

The app has been running so slow for me since they messed with the available by date (which I also dislike). It is painful to use. May be time to cancel my unlimited subscription.


Horrible customer service, never received my dresses!

Twice now they have backed out of sending me my dress selection and didn’t let me know until the last minute. Not reliable at all! Have been waiting on my unlimited items for months now. They don’t know where it is! Canceling today!
