Great features but unclear about trial period

The app has great features but I’ve learned not to invest in apps that don’t clarify their “free” or “trial” periods. I’d prefer if the developers were more forthcoming about the limitations of the trial period so users can make an educated decision about whether or not to upload their entire virtual world to the app. I don’t want the information I add to the app to be held for ransom of sorts if I decline to pay a fee once my trial period magically ends. For that reason alone, I wouldn’t recommend this app for couples and families who need to collaborate but aren’t companies or teams who’d be comfortable paying the $30/month fee to continue using the app after the trial period.

The desire of One
Quip is amazing. I don’t have to waste money on printing paper, lose space for document storage and the ability to collaborate and communicate with other members in our team in one place makes this a powerful tool. Hands down the most productive tool my staff and organization uses!
It's 2018 - support Google Keyboard

I use Quip for note taking and collaboration - it's on the home screen of my phone. However I think it's unacceptable that Quip is the only productivity app I've tried that still does not support Google keyboard. Even Apple's default apps support it. I'm leaving one star until Google keyboard is supported.

Grocery list to a weekend trip, I have been using Quip to plan everything. Latest updates are pretty awesome. I can edit word documents, make PDFs, presentations and share them at the same time. I can add my to do list to calendar. Wow!?
Most difficult Communication app I’ve ever used

Supposed to streamline communications. But using it is so awkward and against any user-friendly process that I cannot believe the positive stars it gets. You will not install and away-you-go start using it because it is very un-natural to use and takes all kinds of time to figure out how to get things done on it. Maybe it has great possibility usages, sure, and you just “have to figure that it out”. But trying to get this rolled out to even a small group of people is like teaching them all to use a toolbox out of photo shop.
Please update better for iPhone X

The screen extends to the top of my iPhone which blocks a bit out and prevents me from backing out. It also makes words run together at the top sometimes. It is a great app...just needs a little tweaking.
Zero non-default keyboard support

This is absolutely unacceptable and makes this app unusable for anyone who doesn't use default keyboards. I use Google's keyboard (GBoard) for English since it's got much better auto-correct, but whenever I use the Quip app it only allows me to enter Korean because it's the only language in which I'm using Apple's default keyboard. Yep I can only input Korean characters in Quip. This is 2018 Quip, what's wrong with you?
