Replaced Evernote for notes and Google Drive for collaboration

Strengths • Best doc collaboration app - feed of doc comments or Inbox is evolution above competition • you can work a project list by tagging owners in their respective to-do • Spreadsheet feature and Desktop app • Easiest to use, especially for the inexperienced Weaknesses • Sorting of documents is a key weakness. You can put things in folders, but no option to arrange manually in app. You can do this with desktop browser. This can really hamper your workflow and prioritizing as you place more information in Quip. • Pasted words not spell checked. The app should automatically spell check the entire page. Until this is resolved, there should be a manual option to spell check doc. Opportunities • Thanks go to the team for improving the spreadsheets feature to manage projects. It would be great to have a special Task or Project view where all the spreadsheet rows or checklists in which you name is mentioned can be viewed in a list. If the row or checklist has a date that date should appear in a row column. The spreadsheet name or the header just above the checklist should serve as a Category column. Ideally, if a hashtag is included in the spreadsheet or checklist row, that will also be included in a hashtag column. This would then allow for filters and sorting in this view. If you then allowed smart filters, this would allow personal as well as project task list management. This would allow you to see projects as a whole by hashtag or Category. If you built in the ical tags into the design of the Task and Project view, then you could sync Quip projects into your Google Calendar and other calendar tools. The reason why this is needed is that as teams use Quip for projectivity, the greater the risk that to-do items in various docs and spreadsheets will get missed. Filtering out to-dos from all the docs and spreadsheets in Quip would be a great step forward in project management. --- Why 5 Star if there is opportunity for improvement? Because I'm comparing it to other collaborative tools and it spanks them all (e.g. Google Drive, Apple iWork, Box Notes, etc.)

A clean editing workflow that has a wide array of apps that work really well both on mobile and desktop. Syncing is flawless and it's clear the team cares deeply about the product. My go-to writing product and my favorite Evernote replacement.
