Voice recognition is poor.

I did a bit of research before committing to a teleprompter app and found based on reviews and playing around this was the best. I paid for the premium model and now I can’t even get the voice scroll to function properly. Other then literally being 12” away from the iPad, I’m sitting at 37” away from the iPad (measured it) and the app will spontaneously stop scrolling, speed up to another part of the script or just stop and not work until I pause and try playing the script again. I’m a native English speaker with an American accent and am using a 2019 ipad. Waste of $20. Get one that’s free or cheaper with a text scroll option. Voice scroll is too buggy.

I tend to speed up and slow down a lot with my speaking style, and I like to inject off-script phrases as I go along. This is a challenge for an app like this to follow but it is doing a great job for me. It’s the prompter of the future, in my hands right now.Well dome dev team!

Doesn’t save!!

I had high hopes for this app! It makes recording easy, BUT THE VIDEOS WILL NOT SAVE to my iPhone X Max! Yes, all the settings are correct. There is just a flaw somewhere. So what I am having to do is set up my iPad behind my phone. I use the app to run on my iPad while I actually record on my phone’s camera. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it works.

It was embarrassing how during a film interview, there was absolutely no competing noise and yet voice recognition kept failing, so I had to have someone manually scroll for 5 hours. What a joke.

App doesn’t work

Just downloaded app and imported a script. The screen doesn’t automatically move when reading my own script. It only worked on their sample script. When I used the phone in portrait mode and tried to save the video their was a big gray spinner that kept spinning, I waited about 3 mins before forcing the app to quit. The video didn’t save.

I bought the Pro version some time ago, and it was pretty good. Recently, through some updates, the app has become very erratic. The voice activation has become horrible. In many of my scripts, the app will skip entire sections...a page at a time. AND, when I test the skipped section again, it will work fine and no changes were made, but then when I go to use the script, the section will work fine. My only complaint is that the voice activation portion of the app has gone downhill with recent updates. At this time, the app is useless as it can not be trusted in voice mode. If that is important to you, you may want to look at other options. This use to be a pretty good app...not any more. If you fix the app, I’ll change my review...but at $19.99 this app should work much better than it does. Edited January 19, 2020 I like others received the standard comment response from the developer. I contacted them, sent a copy of a script, they told me that I needed to reword, not leave spaces, and basically turn my script into something that just does not follow normal speech patterns. Today, I attempted to rework another script using their recommendations. I just spent two hours trying to get this app to just work so that I could get a video produced and uploaded. After two hours, I still have nothing. SO, if you are buying this app for the timed script capacity, it works, but there are cheaper options. If you are buying this app for the VOICE activated option, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This feature is seriously buggy. I am now looking for a different option as this is just unusable. Will remain at one star until they fix the issue. Has potential, but can’t spend money on potential...need it to work.
