Jumps script or stalls

feminine to the core

Seriously. Awful. No matter what the cool features of this app are if it stalls or skips forward in a presentation you are toast. I paid 20 for this and the remote too. Used it last night. Took me 4 hours to get 3 12 min videos done. And my team will still have to edit where the skips are. This left me edgy and waiting for the next skip. Awful. Spending another day learning another app. So disappointing. Please don’t say your a 5 star. It isn’t.

Reliable and All the Features I Wanted plus More!

I tried quite a few. This app is made by pro’s that really care about users and making 1 tool that satisfies all of your needs. Love it!

Used to be amazing. Now unreliable.

I have used this for years, and it used to be fantastic. I got my entire organization to use PromptSmart. But this year’s updates have ruined it. The app freezes frequently, or jumps erratically while you are reading, both of which make the app useless. Many times many of us have had these problems on very up-to-date iPads. That leaves us hanging when we are in front of crowds of hundreds of people, which is extremely awkward. When it works, it’s wonderful, but I just can’t use it anymore because it is no longer reliable. Ready to find a new app.

Can be so frustrating

I use this on my iPad and the prompter app on my phone. The voice recognition is very unreliable. It will work fine for two minutes then get a mind if it’s own and supper advance or just ignore you. The control from the phone really is only good for start and stop. Want to rate it higher but have realized this is the largest obstacle in my recordings.

Doesn’t scroll, doesn’t look like you’re looking at the camera

Not worth the $20 on this and I hope apple will give me my refund! The text doesn’t scroll, it’s slow and hardly moves so your eyes move all the way down the screen, very obvious that you’re reading. Very disappointed!

Just Buy It - Works Like Beast

I used my iPad prompter this week for 5 days straight. I’ve been having connection issues with my former prompting app, Teleprompter 3+. So I gave it one more shot on a Monday. Failed again! I sent a support email to the developer and no response at all. On Tuesday I was shooting the CEO with a long speech. So I scrambled on Monday night looking for a new app that would work. And then...PromptSmart Pro! I usually use a remote app on my iPhone X to advance the script, but this app uses voice recognition to advance the script and IT WORKS! Tested it all night Monday and loaded the scripts for Tuesday. I contacted the developer about the remote app and they responded within a couple hours. Nice! It works fine without the remote app, but for confidence-sake, I’ll be buying the remote app as well. I filmed the CEO on Tuesday and it worked beautifully! Over the course the next 4 days I filmed 37 people using PromptSmart Pro and it worked flawlessly with all types of accents and ethnicities. It only failed twice; once in a room with no soft surfaces, so it was basically in an echo chamber. The other time was a person that was speaking so fast, my human ears could barely understand what she was saying. I asked her to slow down and the app picked her up just fine and worked. I am beyond thrilled with the app and the customer support.

Forced a review

Great app, love it...don’t force me into a review page with a pop up I can’t dismiss.

Ups and downs

The app is very buggy. The voice recognition works surprisingly well. The remote doesn’t work for crap and it costs extra. A LOT extra. You either have to subscribe (not gonna happen) or you have to cough up another 12 bucks. Of course, they don’t tell you that until you already pay 20 for the app. The remote doesn’t work with notecards, only with the “script” mode, which means you only get to use the remote with 50% of the app. Waste of time and money.
