I recently decided to pull out the old iPad apps I have for guitar and make use of the metronome again for practice. All of them work fine but I began to ask myself some questions. Why can’t I have some sort of count-in? Why can’t I organize things better for practice and have multiple BPM sessions with different time signatures? I know, I know. I’m being picky but I was a little annoyed by these “missing” features in most of my apps. I had noticed that a friend of mine was using PolyNome and he thought highly of it so I thought I would give it a try. WOW!! I was stunned at how complex this app was and how flexible it could be. I can’t find anything so far that I can’t set up for an efficient practice workflow. There is a bit of a learning curve at first but lots of videos and docs make the learning easy. I immediately signed up for a lifetime subscription and don’t regret it at all.

This app was the sole reason I was able to learn and understand more difficult drum notation. Anytime I couldn’t understand a rhythm from a drum chart I wanted to study, I would input all of the notes (yes, sometimes a painstakingly long and tedious process ? but it always worked) Then I would just hit play. Magic! It has helped me so so much over the few short years I’ve had it. Cant thank you enough for such a great tool ??

Hey Joe, I talked a friend at church into getting your app so I could share my playlists. He bought the cheaper version and he can’t open my playlists. Can he upgrade for the difference in cost? Or does he have to pay the full price for the full version?

This app has gotten so bloated and confusing - what used to be easy is now frustrating. Whenever I open it now I get sucked into a programming rabbit hole for half an hour before I just say forget it. I used to love this app ?

I purchased the $15 version to try and it seemed to work for what I needed. I upgraded to the $30 version and while I started making playlist the app crashed. It now wont open on my computer at all. It tries to start then fails. If I am paying that much I want to be able to count on it to work 100% of the time. If it happened durring a show that would be bad....

I understand that developers need to make money. But I paid $15 and I am continually nagged to subscribe. I just need a basic metronome application, and thought that paying the $15 would provide that, but I'm ready to uninstall and just create my own beats in Guitar Pro.

I’m a pro musician and purchased this app several years ago. In addition to downloading a bunch of then-available presets and playlists I created a number of my own. Then, presumably after a recommended upgrade the playlists are now a “premium feature” and I can no longer access them. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about this and the developer says you don’t lose and features after upgrades, but I’ve not found a way to get back to my playlists and indeed they may have been deleted in the attempts to get back to where I was. Not happy and I won’t be spending any more money for this app.
