What the hell have you done?

New update adds piles of things I don’t want, and seemingly hides everything I’d been using. Will look for replacement ASAP.

This 2.5.5 update is amazing! This is a powerhouse metronome app. I've had it for over 4 years. It is quickly becoming the gold standard for any metronome. Joe keeps updating and offering great playlists and constant instruction on how to best use Polynome. Incredible. All apps should be this good.

I’ve been using PolyNome for years and it is one of the most important tools in my practice and performance toolkit. It is packed full of so many features that I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface, but it’s also really easy to use and the basic, commonly-needed features are intuitive and easy to access. The customer support is next level; I will share a story as an example. I was trying to create a playlist to mimic a practice routine used on an instructional DVD so I could do the routine on the go. It involved a feature I wasn’t too familiar with. There is an extensive library of help videos, but I wasn’t sure exactly how to do this thing I was trying to do, so I emailed Joe for support. Joe replied that same day with a link to a YouTube video that would help me. However, I was astonished when I watched the video and he addressed me by name! He made the video just for me to answer my specific question! Who does this? Joe at PolyNome does. I can’t recommend PolyNome strongly enough.

This app is the best kept secret on the entire App Store. I found it scrolling randomly through search results for “metronome” and I’ve never looked back. This app can do so many things that other apps can’t that it almost makes it hard to describe to people/hard for them to conceptualize until they see it. Try it, you’ll never go back.

I play in a major American orchestra, and for years I’ve been on the lookout for a metronome app that would help me learn some of the incredibly complex contemporary music that we sometimes play. I downloaded PolyNome and with some exceptionally generous and prompt help from the app’s developer, including TWO personalized Loom videos to guide me, I finally solved my problem. If you find yourself playing a piece by Thomas Adés and wondering how to play a bar in 2/6 or 3/5, this is, as far as I know, the only metronome app that can help you do it. Thank you so much!
