Started using this app recently and edited my EQ settings but every time I turn my receiver on it’s seems like it resets to flat line also when I try to use airplay sometimes it freezes and I’m not able to hear music anymore or change between Spotify or pandora.
It used to work ok but now the app doesn’t not see the SC-LX901 on the network. Pioneer support is aware of the issue but the tech had no info at all about whether an update to fix it was forthcoming. $3K receiver and no working app. Geez.
I rarely write reviews but felt the need to on this one, it is needed. The app is so poorly thought out as to how people interact with their stereo. The app is so bad I will be selling my pioneer and getting a Denon! The old Pioneer app was the best app I have ever seen for remote management of the home stereo. If you have already purchased the pioneer amp! Box it up and take it back. The app is that bad! Pioneer should go back to the old app.
The app has broke with recent iOS updates. Freezes all the time now. Only fix is to swipe up and launch again.
The thing I like the most about this app is the Tidal integration. When you use the app you actually get the full FLAC 48kHz/24bit. You don’t get that when you use your phone and the regular Tidal app. They just pretend to stream the master quality, but via BT or Chromecast you will actually not listen to FLAC quality. The Tidal user interface could be prettier, but that’s likely a nuisance caused by Tidal.
New firmware update enables Alexa. It’s working well with primary surround sound. However, I am unable to control zone 2 and 3 with Alexa at all. As soon as I tap Alexa icon in this app on zone 2 or 3, receiver shuts off. Seems a software issue, please fix
Can no longer use on either iPhone or iPad as of last night. Needs bug fix quick.
Have had the app for about 6 months until recently it worked fine but this last week I tried turning off iPhone and rebooting nothing deleted app restart numerous times nothing looked on line nothing about the problem I finally looked a some reviews and saw some one was saying Sonos was the problem went and unplugged my Sonos and app worked fine the manufacturer needs to fix the problem.
