Can use in many places and don’t have to stand outside in the rain to pay for parking. Sends a text reminder 10 min. before expiring and allows you to pay for more time from wherever you are without going back to the car. Can add different vehicles and credit card numbers. Would be nice to be able to adjust the time the reminder text comes!
Used the app and still got a ticket

The issue with the PayByPhone system is that there is no authority between PayByPhone and the parking authority. Any hiccup in the PBP system, the meter maid’s device, or even failure to confirm the PBP info results in a ticket. The PayByPhone website tells you that they can’t help and one needs to schedule a court hearing with city hall. No thank you.

Most essential app for San Francisco. Parking is difficult and expensive. With this app you can sit in the car and feed parking meter while it is raining. Long lunches are not a problem then can extend without leaving the table Best use of technology I've seen. And now supports near field communication. The only uncertainty is when there’s a broken orange meter. Still, must have app if you live in SF Must have where available
Parking Ticket.

Just got a parking ticket. One car 2 hours. Other car 2 minutes. Can only select 1 or 2 hours. How did it get to 2 min and expire. Idiotic
