I’ve used Overcast since 1.0 and have been astounded by the level of dedication to the app by the dev. Constant, smart improvements and ambitious new features continue to make this the best podcast app out there. Bravo.
All the features you need

and none of the ones you think you need but really don’t. I have a mix of public and authenticated feeds and they all refresh and sync between devices painlessly. The developer’s focus on audio quality and battery life keep it lean. And with the premium subscription for file uploads, it makes a solid audiobook player as well.

The same care that went to Marco's Instapaper app can be found in Overcast. The feature set might appear limited at first but clearly becomes indispensable once you start using them. The updates are always adding something interesting and the app is getting better and better.

I’ve been listening to podcasts since 2005, and in that time have tried many podcast apps. Overcast is made by a podcaster who cares about podcasts. I purchased this app when it was first released, and have been a subscriber since that was introduced. Overcast is a great iOS app and the developer works hard to keep innovating.
