Am a long term user of this app and have been satisfied with it. Recent updates, however, have been buggy. For example, selection of an existing textbox fails and a new text box is created.

This app was fantastic when I first downloaded it, but now every time I make a new note it may or may not still be there the next time I use the app... assuming the app works at all - I’ve had repeated crashes, which once again delete any notes I’ve created recently. Also I lost a good amount of data during an update (the same update also made about a dozen copies of one of my notebooks for some reason). I started using this as a more organized way to keep my notes than using paper notebooks, but now I’m going back to paper because even though it might take longer to locate the information, at least what I write down will still be there when I go looking for it. I would not pay for this app again.

Not worth the money

I bought this app thinking it might replace another noteapp I have. Wrong. The performance is very disappointing. Most of the buttons do not work like the undo button does not always work. It likes to lag when writing and crashes all the time. Very confusing to use. Not a very fluid app. Has a some cool specs you don't see in other apps, but not worth it.

Still the best notes app (just don’t use iCloud sync)

Things has been good since I changed from iCloud to Dropbox backup. Other than the backup and sync issues, this app is a TOP NOTCH handwriting note app with so many thoughtful features. Dropbox backup actually has a somewhat secret feature that lets you view your notebook on your computer through a web browser. Worth looking up how this works.

Constantly freezing

I really like the potential of the app but feel like I’ve wasted money because it keeps freezing and crashing. I keep losing notes I’ve taken. Instead of encouraging my productivity it’s hampering it.

I can’t figure out why or how but I cannot annotate a PDF on this app at all. The handwriting to text works great! Until you scroll down a page and it reverses back to handwriting or, more commonly, you just lose any marks you made that weren’t unintentional. Don’t worry about that huge black mark you made down the middle of the page! Not even the eraser can move it now. I’ve spent about three hours with this app trying desperately to get it to save, so that I can restore the version of the PDF with my partial notes on it but god knows if the save function actually works. Overall, I’m extremely annoyed. Wouldn’t recommend.

Deleted work!!!!! worst day ever

I was so thrilled by this. I was taking notes on a scanned pdf i was working with, and today, all of it was greyed out and then finally was no longer available. It disappeared before my eyes with no explanation!!!! The app was great and turned into a nightmare. two years of work gone!

Great app until V6 come up and completely messed up a great product

I adopted notes plus in early 2011 and I have been using it for professional note taking since then. It was excellent until v6 come up and made the product un-usable. I got thousands of pages stuck in a migration, I cannot access notebooks I created natively in V6, I have now several duplicate files, a complete un necessary mess. The support people do what they can but tje problem is so big that they cannot really help you much. I am stuck with this because of my history. For new users, stay away from the app... At least until they fix the current mess

It’s been over 22 days as of 7/30/2019 that we’ve seen any replies from developer about this app and loss of all data. I loved this app and still do when I think of the notes I was able to take and the ease of using it. Was definitely one of the best note apps out there. It had a glitch where I’d lose a word or two but easily rewritten. Since an update I’ve lost over over 3/4ths of my notes I’ve taken since 2017. Notes I do still have are not even in right folder or all present in folder they belong in. Even notes I took after the initial issue have been lost or duplicated. I’m afraid to remove duplicates for fear I’ll lose what I have. Everything that was supposed to work to retrieve them has failed. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for its unstable in keeping notes. If the issue with note loss and duplicates was fixed I’d use it again and give 5 stars. It once was a 5+ app.
