I use it all the time, every day. On every new version, the app becomes better. Without this app, my iPad would not be as useful.

This used to be my favorite handwriting app. In fact, I still believe it has one of the best fountain pen algorithms available on any platform. But over time, it has become unusable. Many times when I am writing, the “ink” will simply stop following my Apple Pencil. At first, I thought it was my pencil’s fault. But my pencil works fine on other handwriting apps. Also, when scrolling with my finger down the page, it now leaves marks or smudges from time to time. Also, there are many times when I try to erase something, it won’t erase! I hit the undo button sever times and text BEFORE the text I want to delete disappears, but not the most recent text. But sometimes, I can then scroll the screen, and the text will then vanish, which tells me there is a screen buffering problem. My iPad hasn’t changed over the last three years. The only thing that has changed is the updates I have done to this app. I cannot even write simple notes without having to go back afterward and spend tons of time fixing all the problems caused by all of the bugs. I’m sorry and saddened to say that this app no longer works. ?

I love the the look of the ink, it truly is the best I’ve seen in any note taking app so far! Unfortunately, the app is very laggy and keeps freezing, making it unusable. I would give it 5 stars, if it actually worked smoothly
This app has gone downhill

When I was in school I usurped this app for note taking. It is no longer useable for that, I can barely write my name on the screen anymore. It’s also really hard to search for files by name, sometimes they don’t show up even if you type in the name exactly.

This app is unusable due to Pencil lag. It is only a few milliseconds of delay but noticeable to point of being jarring. Native Notepad app doesn’t have this issue and neither does MS One Note. I wish you all will fix this. It was once a great app.
Loved it before iPadOS 14.4

This used to be my favorite app I had downloaded, but since I updated my software to iPadOS 14.4 it has been glitchy and slow (even though the rest of my apps function the same speed they always have). Writing with my 1st gen Apple Pencil or scrolling with either the stylus or my finger works, but the response freezes every half second or so and it’s very disorienting and makes the app hard to use anymore.

This app does what you used daydream your pad of paper and ink pen would do. Do you need this app? The "Tips" notebook that's included said it well "Notes Plus was designed to focus on handwriting and drawing for visual notes. If you only type to take notes, there is no point in using Notes Plus." and, "Notes Plus was designed for heavy note takers... If you only jot down something once in a while, there are much simpler apps out there." That said, this app is so flexible and easy to use and learn that it might make you into an avid note taker. It really successfully brings the experience of ink and paper into the tablet world. Go through the Quick Start guide when you first install it. Really. You need to learn its paradigm and you can quickly with the guide. Best with a stylist but your finger should work too. Only problem I've had so far is that sometimes the work area doesn't render on my screen. I'm guessing that's because I'm on an iPad 1 so I'm not too upset. BTW, it works on an iPad 1!! This quickly became a favorite app. I have even chuckled when I use it because it does what I need, when I need it, and it does it in a really cool way. UPDATED: Now I’m on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil and the program reveals how buggy it is. Writing response time lags, sometimes text disappears when the app is closed, sometimes notebooks get replicated and fragmented in the library. Switched to Good Notes which is much more responsive though it lacks a few of the things I liked about Notes Plus, it also lacks the crippling bugs.

This used to be such a great app before I got my Apple Pencil. Now I figured out that the Apple Pencil isn't compatible at all. The strokes of the letters that you make when you write lag really really bad and it makes me not want to use this app at all. Please fix so it is compatible with the Apple Pencil thank you very much.
