If you like to keep a stable temperature or have your home to stay at a set temperature DON’T BUY THIS THING! No matter what setting you save or even completely disable all the features, it will fluctuate 3-or even 4 degrees. I have learned to live with it, but I still hate waking up in the middle of the night because the NEST decided to change my set temp up 2 degrees IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER ! On the bright side - it looks great. And it looks really nice, did I mention how nice it looks?
Good concept, bad stability

The app could be great. The concept is down and it’s more or less good. I hate that I cannot share a clip though. If I pay for the service, sharing the 5-10 second clip shouldn’t be an issue through the app. The app constantly signs me out though and acts like it’s the first time I’ve ever used it. It also reverts back today’s live feed. If I’m searching through a day’s event log looking for something, if I open my app manager to check a text or email, coming back I have to start all over again. Very frustrating!
Can’t go wrong!

This thermostat has already paid for itself in just a few months. My family and myself definitely recommend this Nest thermostat.
Sluggish lately

I’ve been using Nest for years with the thermostat and over a year with 3 cameras. The app has been great until the last month or so. When I pull up one of the cameras, the entire app locks up. I can’t scroll through the history or even click back to the main page. This effectively makes all my cameras useless through the app.
4K cams, nest thermostat

Google nailed it. The 4K iq outdoor cams are amazing. Night vision, facial detection, waterproof, and so much more. Even the doorbell cam(only 4K cam). The app gets better every week. It’s easy to review footage on Google’s powerful cloud servers. The thermostat is amazing to. So convenient to control everything from your phone. Very responsive. Overall I would never buy any other brand. Keep killing it google.

Out of the different smart home products I have, this one is by far the worst. Every time you change your WiFi you have to factory reset each device. Device setup is a pain. Really shocked that a google product is so poorly made. I set up 4 Amazon smart home devices in less time than it took to set up and connect one nest smoke alarm. Having to deal without a separate nest and google smart home account is also a terrible experience. 0/10 return your products while you can
App stopped working after last 2 updates...

After the last two updates, the icons in the video viewing is mashed all together. And I no longer get any notifications of motion, people, etc. You need to fix this and fix it fast.

I purchased the Nest devices before Google purchased Nest. Now Nest has been dragging their feet on integrating into Apple HomeKit and with being moved into Google’s hardware division, it is less likely Apple HomeKit will be implemeted. It is also more likely that Google’s substandard technology will be forced into Nest products. Time to remove all the Nest devices. With no Apple HomeKit Support, the devices are just not worth it. The only way that I would ever consider purchasing another Nest device, is if a Google spun off Google and get rid of the requirement for a Google Account. Never use Google!
