This is an amazing idea, and superbly crafted app system (iOS, OS, and WatchOS). The developer is always prompt on responding to bugs or feature requests. The bottom line is that the whole system still has inconsistent success with Bluetooth reliability. When this gets remedied, this app will be 5 stars !

A lot of time even if my phone is right next to it, it still lock it. Sometimes even when it is connected, I have to walk so far to lock it. Sometimes it doesn’t even lock it.

Systems MacBook Pro 2018 and iPhone XS. The app fails to connect with Bluetooth. I have tried several times but it simply doesn’t connect.

When in background (paid) mode the screen randomly locks. No way to discover this until you’ve already paid.

in order for my phone to reconnect to NearLock on my Mac almost always requires bluetooth to be restarted on both my mac and my iphone. it NEVER automatically reconnects after my computer goes to sleep when it does work it’s nice though. i wouldn’t be as upset about it if it didn’t work at all.

I rarely review apps but this one makes me annoying. Every time after my MacBook have a long sleep season like more than 2 hours, this app just cannot connect to it. I was wondering if I have the pro version, this problem can be solved. If that was the case I am willing to pay 4 bucks. BUT IT DID NOT HELP AT ALL. Then I reported the problem and look forward refund. Then they refused my request. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! Don’t download this app. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

I love this app, it works well, but I had some questions and I wrote to the developer three times and received no answer.

I was very excited to get this app. I paid the $3.99 for the pro version. It does not lock my computer when I walk away. I have to open the app and lock it manually. My hope was I could attach it just to my Apple Watch, I now think this is not possible. If I try to lock it from my Apple Watch it tells me the app must be open on my phone to do so. All I wanted was a simple application that would lock my screen if I walked away from the computer. In my opinion it does not work.
