I was skeptical of this at first, as it seemed a bit too good to be true. However, this app rocks! I used the free version for a while before purchasing the full one for 4 bucks, and it's entirely worth it, my mac unlocks itself as soon as I approach. I typically don't write reviews but this app deserves a good one considering its average. Using MacBook Pro 2012 running Sierra with iPhone 7.

Very neat little app. I definitly recommend getting the free version and trying it out. I, however, payed for the full version and it does not work as advertised. With the free version you have to have the app open to unlock, not a big deal, it actually brings you a sort of authentication. With the PRO version it says it will work with it running in the background, but very few times have i NOT had to have it open to read. Additionally, the bluetooth distance reader is way off. I would hold my phone further away to test it locking my Mac and the further away i got the closer it said i was (distance meter in the app) i had to walk totally away for it to actually lock the mac. Again, neat little app for a free version but definitely not worth the 4 bucks. save your money.

The only "but" is that when turning up the system for the first time I must still manually enter the password. But in all very good app.

This is an awesome app when it works. I feel like it has a lot bugs that need to be worked out. When the app works as designed it is a wonderful experience, but when it breaks it is a huge pain to get it going again. I'm not sure if these bugs have more to do with apple or the creator of the app, but I wish they could provide a faster update schedule. Best option would be for apple to buy this app and integrate it.

Worked most of the time. Knock-knock is nice but half of the time I have to retry for it to unlock the Mac. Stopped working after I updated my iPhone 7 to iOS 11. No update in a while.

I have 2 computer and I hate to keep login in, I found your app and a highly recommended from online, after testing it for the first day I notice it’s not responding to my move, or my tap to lock and unlock it, Need to improvement,

Setup took seconds. Has been working flawlessly. Love the fingerprint security. Great options. Paid for the app without any doubts.

The switcher in the notification centre is too large which I don't like. Usually I don't want to slide the notification centre up and down. I keep three different apps in it so I don't have to waste time to find the switchers. If near lock can keep the switcher in one row it will be perfect! The Mac Nearlock app has a conflict shortcut with Microsoft Word! And the bad thing is that I can't change the app's shortcut… So I cut one star from the previous rating.

The combination of 11.0.3 and macOS 10.13 doesn’t seem to work at all. I’ve tried clearing bluetooth cache and re-pairing but those aren’t correcting the problem.

I gave it 3 stars because it does more in some ways than Knock does. It’s biggest fault and what kills the app is it’s inability to function, functions great to lock and unlock the Mac after you manually log in. Leave the phone by the Mac over night or come home from work and it will not log in for you 75%+ of the time. Main reason I gave it 3 stars is because even though it has major issues it still has more updates than Knock. Knock hasn’t had a real update in over 2 years and with every new OS it has been getting worse. If Near Lock does an update soon they will have a chance of being better instead of on par.
