I updated the latest version and all it does is freeze my phone. Can’t remote start anymore in these single digit temps. Was working fine before updates

My app doesn’t do anything. All I see is a white screen when I boot it up

No longer works on iPhone 6 and earlier

Chevy SS Geo

App worked for me till 02/09/2021. When I tried opening the app it told me an update was required. When I attempted to update it told me it requires iOS 13 or later. But iPhone 6 can’t use 13 or later. I was unable to find &/or use the earlier version. So I had no choice but to delete the app. Chevy, please fix this.

NOT FIXED! [WAS iOS 14.3 Breaks the App [WAS: Ads for Shell Oil? I have a Bolt EV!]

UPDATE 2/10/21: OK, so the app connection to my Bolt EV was apparently fixed late last month. However, while the app has been stable — not requiring me to log out/in, remove/reinstall in the last two weeks, for which I’m grateful — I no longer receive any Charging Complete notifications. The last charging completed SMS notification I received was on 1/19/21. Since then, I’ve gotten exactly one SMS notification: “charging interrupted” when I unplugged before charging was complete. That was 11 days ago. OnStar support told me to “take it to the dealer”, which I’m reluctant to do during the pandemic; when I asked if that implied a technical/equipment issue, I was told, “someone will be reaching out to you”. That was over two weeks ago... Over at chevybolt.org, another user suggested resetting Network Settings on my iPhone 11 running iOS 14.4 as a possible solution. I’m reluctant because doing it will wipe out all of my WiFi passwords (ALL) and my Bluetooth connections. Since I no longer receive “Charging Completed” SMS notifications, I have to refresh the app vehicle status to see if the car has completed charging. It sure would be nice to get those SMS notifications that I used to get... Fortunately, I haven’t gotten the dreaded “Unable to connect. Please turn on your vehicle to re-establish connection and try again” prompts in two weeks... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE 1/21/21: Awesome response from the OnStar team! I received an email reply to my review of 1/17/17, telling me that they’d reviewed my issue and confirmed the issues I was having. They asked me to call OnStar from my vehicle and ask for the Technical Team. I had a great call with Will, and after thoroughly going over everything he escalated it up a level and assured me that it was able to be resolved. He suggested it would take several days to get a response. This morning - the next day - I had an email waiting for me from LaNika letting me know that they were able to connect to my vehicle and send an update to it OTA (presumably a firmware update), with further instructions to uninstall, reinstall, and log back into the app. Bingo! I was able to immediately connect and have no issues since, having tried several times today to make sure. High marks for responsiveness, technical proficiency, courtesy, and a genuine interest in resolving my issue quickly. Julia, Nicole M., Steven D., Will and LaNika have my sincere appreciation. It’s reassuring to know that the OnStar team reads and responds to these reviews. Next time, though, I will call first. Don’t give up! Call OnStar and ask for the Technical Team. Based on my experience, they’ll get your issue resolved, and promptly, too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE 1/17/21: I updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 14.3 a month ago, and ever since then, more often than not, I am unable to retrieve my vehicle status. This is *important* because it’s how I know when my Electric Car will be or is done charging. I get this message sometimes, but not all the time: “Unable to connect. Please turn on your vehicle to re-establish connection and try again. If this issue persists, please contact OnStar Support for assistance.” I’ve already tried the usual fixes: logging out and back in; deleting and reinstalling; logging out, deleting, reinstalling, logging in. Nothing’s worked. I’ve tried remote unlocking and locking, which took longer than before iOS 14.3 but still usually will work — which proves there is connection to my vehicle — but only once did that then let me retrieve my vehicle status. Otherwise, I get the message to “turn on your vehicle to re-establish connection.” Reading through the other recent reviews — nearly all negative — I even tried turning WiFi off on my iPhone to connect over LTE and that was another no-go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Original review below] As a recent Bolt EV owner, it’s very annoying to be nagged with a banner ad for, of all things, Shell Oil. Getting Shell rewards ads is ridiculous. Worse, clicking on the dismissal ‘X’ more often than not brings up the sign-up screen - the opposite of dismissing it. After what I spent on my Chevrolet, and using the app for the last 2 1/2 months, I find it offensive to have an advertisement pushed on me by my car manufacturer, every time I open the app. It did not do this initially, it seems to be a recent change, and one I dislike very much. CORRECTION/UPDATE re the key fob functions only working over Bluetooth: it took four calls to OnStar this morning, but we finally got the Key Fob/KeyPass issue fixed. Here’s what the app does not make clear: when you setup KeyPass - as the app prompts you to do - it is setup by and functions only over Bluetooth, and at least with the Bolt EV, enabling KeyPass disables the Long Range Key Fob features (Lock/Unlock; Precondition Start/Stop; Horn & Lights Start/Stop), which IMO are superior. To re-enable that took some sleuthing by me and OnStar. The fix was to disable KeyPass from the Infotainment settings screen, then delete the app and reinstall it. I spoke with 4 different OnStar techs, all nice and helpful except for one that didn’t call me back when we got disconnected while on hold for 15 minutes while he researched my issue. Otherwise, the app has some nice features, especially for an electric car. I would rate this app higher if it didn’t recently become ad supported.

App on IPhone is not working anymore

G9799

Since yesterday, 2/10/21 the App on my IPhone stop working. It says that need to update. When I try to update a message pop up saying that needs at least IOS 13 or better to do that. Well, I have IPhone 6 with iOS 12.5 version and not planning to buy a new $800 bucks IPhone just to use your App. It should be stated when I bought the Remote Acess Plan that requires that software. Now will be a hassle to cancel the service. Is there any other way to use the service instead through the phone?

Easy to use, user friendly.

Third party error

fix this 0101

A pop up is advising a third party has unexpectedly taken my info and the app won’t open. I can’t get ahold of customer service nor can I find info online. Uh hoping it’s just an error due to an update?
