I bought this car for my daughter a couple of years ago because I liked the remote start, unlock/lock and tracking feature. It was a main selling point for me and it seems it would almost be a legal issue that they advertise the product and service but it’s only available maybe 10% of the time. For me it was a safety feature as well and I would have purchased another brand if I knew we would not have access to what they said was available on the car. The remote start is not even an option without the app which always shows “system error we’ll be up and running soon. We apologize for the inconvenience”. It’s really hard to believe that, with such a reputable brand, Mercedes would have a great car with such a failure of an app and lack of service for what they sell you at the dealership.

Doesn’t work in all models, Mercedes should reach out to all owners 2016-now and offer to add remote start for free.

Unreliable app for this luxury brand. The app is down without notice or explanation; the remote start is not available when it should. Shocked that MB does not have a 5 star app.

Come on Mercedes - you should be ashamed of this service. I bought my car 2 months ago and you still are unable to sync with MBrace to due a ‘systems upgrade’. So now during the winter months when I need remote start, it is unavailable. I feel I was scammed at the Dealership and they have no answers either. Shotty performance from one of the supposed best car manufacturers on the planet - I laugh when I see your commercials now.

The app never consistently works. If the goal is to promote having an app, then it should be working. I have happy my suv for almost 3 years and it still is not adequate.

This app keeps crashing. A lot of times shows system error. Slow in response and does not work 40% of the time especially on starting engine. Never seen worse app.

After 2 1/2 years, I seriously hate my Mercedes BECAUSE of this useless app. It finally worked for about a month and now no. “It will be working soon”. Sorry Mercedes, I pay too much for a car that should be able to have remote features that actually work. Can not wait for my lease to end.

I live in an area where winters are pretty harsh and the one thing I should be able to rely upon is the remote start. There are several problems that this app has. Focus on the basic features first rather than making it all fancy looking. Everyone knows the pretty UI is just useless if the core app malfunctions more often than not. The app has lately been giving a “system error” consistently. That’s critical issue which directly impacts customers and should be fixed soon IMO. Also, the remote start fails with “there was a technical issue on our end” message quite frequently, too. An app from Mercedes should not be this sloppy honestly!! Fix the basic glitches first and then focus on nice-to-haves!!

Inconsistent when it works and usually invents a fake excuse why it can’t work at the moment. Do not ever leave your keys in the car at a gym or out for a job and use the app to lock and unlock as you probably won’t be able to get in when you return. App has been unusable and down for maintenance for 7 days straight now
