Worst company ever

I got a car from there after the 3 week I was only making enough money to pay for the car wasn’t seeing no extra money so that third week I called in an told the women hey car prices changed an cheaper can y’all at the new charges to my account she said no I gotta redo it to get the new prices which that didn’t make since to me they should just apply that to the people that has cars already then on top of that told the lady well I’m not going to make the money for the car price when do I return the car I was told they will send a email on the day to bring it into office this was a Monday my payment wasn’t due to to Tuesday while I waiting in my time an day the next day Wednesday they locked the car I called an asked why would y’all lock the car an I could have just brought the car to the office I’m going by what youre representive said they said sorry for the miss communication but I had to just come bring the car in now they charged me 500 dollars just to pick up the car then charged me for the days an how long they took to come pick up the car bill over 1000 dollars now an I don’t know what to do I thought about taking the company onto the news because it a whole rip off company why not just let me bring car in nobody going to take the car thinking about going to fox two so if anybody esle having these issues we need to get together an take it to the higher ground

Pretty much everything is cheaper than maven. Cheapest car $85 a day? You can rent for 1/4 that using another app or even from a traditional rental agency, and get something better than a Chevy Spark

Annoyance and irritation

I made a reservation I realized I couldn’t keep and, within seconds, immediately canceled it. But it was a same day reservation and they wont return my money($400) not only that they tried to charge me a 43.00 dollar late fee. Upon contacting customer service they made me wait two day and only refunded me 42.00 worth of the late fee. And acted like it was favor on their part. How dare they! They got $401 dollars of me for a service I couldn't take advantage of. I paid 401 USD for NOTHING! If you need to rent for rideshare I strongly suggest you go with hertz express for lyft or the fair app for uber both are far more accommodating with their customers and their services are far cheeper. Which means you will be making more money faster.

I do not recommend this at all. I was reported smoking when I never smoked in my entire life. I did not even noticed any kind of smell while renting the car. I called and asked. I was told due to policy I cannot do anything. How can I let them know immediately if I didn’t noticed anything? I asked what time the cleaning crew came to clean it. I was told they cannot release that information. Like really???? You can’t just say it’s cleaned 9am of Jan 2nd? I am not even asking for anyone’s information but you can’t even tell me when a car was being clean? Due to policy, I cannot go forward in investigating what happened. I do not know what happened in between the time I dropped off the car and when they cleaned the car; however, this isn’t right for me. These are literally cars parked outside in the open, so people be careful if you guys decide to rent a car from here. You’re running the risk of anything can happen. I would not try this again. I liked it at first for the fact that it was an emergency that I had to rent a car immediately, but beyond that I don’t feel secure with this company.

When the weekly rental was $209, it was worth to rent. But now its over $300 its a rip off. Better buying your own car. Plus the chevy cars are so bad, breaks down so often. Maven dont compensate for time lost to switch a car, searching for repair shop, driving to repair shop and waiting for repairs or oil change to be done. They add up. Also, when car breaks down you ll be stranded. Because they dont give you new car immediately. You have to wait two days. You have to send them work order. Customer service is also bad. They dont care about you. They just wanna take your money just like uber/ lyft. They give you dirty car but You have to wash the car yourself before returning. They dont accept dirty car. They are trying to charge me for one extra week. Even though i sent them the work order. They just dont bother to look at it. I called them, emailed them. Good luck


Accepted my driver license and close my account after 2 hours

I got my driver license approved and the Maven cancel my account say there is some verification issue. I ask how to fix this, the woman in phone said, never. Very disappointed to Maven.


Won’t accept any and I mean any card

This is absolutely frustrating - I’ve tried all my cards and my roommates and some ambiguous and unhelpful pop up that says “server error” keeps popping up. Really wish I didn’t just put all my eggs into Maven and got the zip card card as well since now I’ll have to Uber tomorrow Like... this is absolute trash. Or has become trash since I’ve last used it. Or the last update messed something Maybe it’s a mobile thing. If yes, then why not open a web portal as well where I can modify stuff reliably.

Terrible customer service

I’ve used this app multiple times, and each time has come with its own set of issues. Broken cars, dirty cars, cars not charged etc etc. that wouldn’t make the app terrible, but the customer service is absolutely awful. I’ve been hung up on, and talked to like a dog with customer service. I had such a terrible experience, I called customer service and was rudely handled by an agent so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor offered me a partial refund. That was great. I’ve used this app to go to THE SAME PLACE every time I’ve used this service. After my refund was confirmed I received a message saying that I went over the miles and was charged an exorbitant amount of money for the overage. I’ve never been charged before, and I always take the same route. So I called to inquire and I was again, connected to a rude agent. The agent basically told me he could put a support ticket in to have the charge reviewed, but he then told me if I do, all the other times I potentially went over, I would be charged for those as well as being charged an additional fee. He was so rude about it, and I don’t think it’s very professional to try to intimidate your customers because they want to inquire about a charge. It’s sad that such an innovative idea is completely ruined because of customer service. Avoid this service at all costs. I would not like a customer service follow up, as I’ve already ended my membership and deleted the app.
