The pricing use to be good, now you guys are breaking my pockets $398 A WEEEK! ? That’s basically 1600 a month.. why maven why ? I was fine paying 217 a week. I’m sorry but you guys lost a customer after August 29th i will no longer be renting from maven.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. I have been driving a maven car well over a year after an accident. Easy way for me to make extra money on my own time. Recently they have been extremely high on prices charging almost 400 a week, 379 to be exact not including full coverage. When you are not able to pay on time they will shut down the car then they will send you a email stating if you don’t pay, they will tow the car then they will charge you 250 for another key and 500 for towing service on top of your balance. They will not unlock the car until the balance is paid in full.Being that I have been a loyal customer and have never tried to get out of paying I’m highly disappointed in their method. They have poor customer/ company communication. Even if you try to call and tell them that you’re having issues(I personally had a death in my immediate family)you’ll just be connected to a office outside of your maven gig rental location and all they will tell you is, “ it’s up to the Manger at a specific location.” They will let you know they’re writing it in your “notes” but can’t guarantee anything. They is no direct number for you rental location and they will only contact you via email in which you can reply unless it is specifically from an employee inside. Then when they unlock the car it takes almost four hrs for you to be able to drive it. Another issue is the car itself. When you get a car you can only keep it for a while until you have to exchange it. Almost everytime I’ve gotten a car I immediately had to take it to get something fixed, had to go get an inspection, clean, or vacuum it myself. Poor service, no customer relation at all, I’ll advise nobody to rent from them.
DO NOT GET A CAR WITH MAVEN.

I recently Rented a car with Maven to go out of town and before. I left town the car would not start or respond to the car app they sent refresh signal it fix it they told me I was good to go so I left. I got to Kalkaska mi which is 4 hours away turn the car off at my hotel then got ready to leave to come home the car would not start or respond to the app maven told me oh sorry for the inconvenience we can give u a 25 dollar Lyft code to get home ! What was 25 dollars going to do for me and my 2 kids to get home from 4 hours away we were stranded for 4 days they say they are going to make it right but it was really messed up my kids missed auditions and a lot of other issues because of the rental. Please just be careful because this could happen to you.

Slower Driver
I registered on the app a while ago. Today, I reserved a trip successfully, traveled to the pick up place, only to learn that my trip was cancelled. When I called, I was told that the trip was cancelled because my license check will take two days, and they don’t run license checks until you reserve the first trip. I was not informed of that anywhere before I started reserving.

Maven swap car are never worth a penny the tire went flat every day, the gas was on Empty, the car inside and out was dirty, the price went skyrocketed in one month, had to put car in shop and Maven never paid me for the car staying over night, the office don’t work well with the support care, this company has not made any since. They expect drivers to die trying to afford their vehicles.

If I could give this negative 100 stars I would do it. The worst, most frustrating app I have ever encountered. It simply does not work. After photographing my license, it NEVER processes it.

My first experience was ok. But the 2 time was bad when I return the car after couples days after they block my account and at first no one couldn’t explain why and then after 1 month close then they send a email with a acclaim of accident that I haven’t done and blame it on me and want me after 6 months close to pay for something I haven’t done.

I have tried almost every other car sharing app, and every time I come back to Maven! They have great customer service, easy to navigate app, up to date cars, and great customer service. I’m almost 21 so it’s hard to find a car sharing service that will rent to me and Maven has decent prices just wish they had more compact/sedan cars available sometimes but besides that no complaints. A word to the wise make sure where ever you are going with the car has good internet connection or you are not able to lock/unlock the car.
