I've played with apps like this for years and this is the best one in the AppStore.

This was perfect for trip planning! I was able to map all of the spots I wanted to try in New Orleans before my big birthday trip! It makes it so much easier to find what's in the neighborhood as opposed to googling and wasting phone battery while adventuring in the streets. Definitely helps ensure nothing is missed!

This is just what I've been looking for to make notes about places I've found to run, especially when I'm away from home. I needed something where I could note whether it was paved or trail, flat or hilly, etc. The tags are perfect for that. Most importantly, I needed to note exactly where the starting point was and what to put in my GPS. That's built in! I love that I can enter a place without actually being there, too. When I first got the app, I loaded it up with locations I could look up. That method got me back to a location I have been wanting to find again for ages.

Mapstr makes it easy to browse and search through all the places you've bookmarked no matter how far away from them you are. I love that you can add your own tags to any location you've saved and then sort by those tags. It's the perfect complement to Yelp.

I LOVE this app! It helps me keep track of everywhere I want to go so I'm never in a pickle, going to a mediocre restaurant when I could be going somewhere great. My friends and I share our maps so we can recommend places to each other. It's also amazing for traveling! Anywhere I've traveled, my friends now have great recommendations for and vice versa. My only complaint, and this is a big one, is that the app freezes all the time and it freezes my whole phone. I have to close down the app multiple times before it successfully opens long enough to search on the map. As soon as this is fixed and the app functions as it used to, I'll be singing it's praises all the time!! Can't wait to be able to use it more - it would be helpful for me all the time.

I instantly delete and rate an app a 1 if it forces me to sign into Facebook or create a new account before I can try it out.

Perfect app to solve that question me and my wife ask each other everyday. She is always finding new places to eat but I could never find a way to keep track of them. Tried putting them in my contacts but that is such a pain. With Mapster it's as easy as typing a few letters of the restaurant's name and presto! You get an instant listing, a tagging system that makes finding what you want a snap and an integrated map with Google Maps or iPhone map to help you get directions. I would've paid for the app but best of all it was free.
