The best app ever!

Aarakelian

This is the perfect app to tag and organize all of your places of travel! If I’m looking for something to do, I can just open this app and I’ll be greeted with dozens of ideas for places I love and places I’ve been wanted to go to. I’ve been using it for over a year and have been loving it!

Fav app

Love this app, especially when traveling to remember the places you loved and to find your friends favorites. Only wish I have is that you could make a note beyond just hashtags like about what dishes at a restaurant are your favorite or anything else that would be useful to friends finding it later.

Really good - with Google Maps import, would be great

Ginza Jake-san

Love the premise of this app and much of its execution. Definitely worth using. I have a lot of places saved in Google Maps, and it would be great to seamlessly import them. The developers’ FAQ say they’re working on this functionality - hope it’s rolled out soon. Add that and it will be 5Star

Fantastic functionality

Clean and easy to use, exactly what I was looking for

Search in non-English language does not work

I would give this higher stars, but search is completely broken with non-English text.

Awesome!

For over 30 years, I've been collecting matchbooks from places I've been to from around the world...restaurants, pubs, hotels, etc. I literally have hundreds of matchbooks. I've been looking for an app to somehow organize and visually track all the places I've been to. No App from major maps companies (Apple, Google, MapQuest) has the functionality and features that Mapstr has. I like how if the restaurant I went to 20 years ago is no longer around, I can manually enter the name and address and a photo so that it shows up ok the map. Great job Mapstr!!!

Mapping a city out

Great way to map out your own city & keep everything organized.

Obsessed

Anybody who is studying abroad needs all their friends to use Mapstr in their individual cities and then when you travel you can look at their maps and see all their places

gorgeous app

AnimewithFood

the interface is so nice and easy to use! you can make a list of places you’ve been or wanna try and identify them with tags! you can also write comments on your places & add any photos that you want! that’s extremely useful for me because usually the places i want to photoshoot don’t have a lot of pictures on google maps so adding my own pictures helps me remember what the places look like. one thing that i’d like to add is a feature to change the place icon color. the icon with all the tag colors is nice but i’d like a solid color instead so it doesn’t clash too much with the background.

Great but needs a couple more things!

I love this app and it was exactly what I was looking for that I couldn't find in another app. However there are a couple improvements that would make it even better. I wish there were an offline or downloadable version for when I am traveling internationally and don't have my data or don't have access to wifi. It would also be great if there was a preview of a place before you added it to your map. Sometimes there are multiple places under the same name and I don't know if I saved the right one until I've added it to my map which is annoying but not a big deal. Otherwise a great app!
