Such a no-brainer! Before, I have used/shared a Google Map with friends for my recommended spots, but that was so clunky, annoying to update and doesn’t translate well to mobile. This app is the exact opposite. Love the interface. The tags are my favorite. They’ve thought of everything! I have only encountered one bug, one night it wasn’t allowing me to add places. It was recognize the name in the search bar, but then I’d get an error message when I hit add. Strange, but only once so far. Great app! I wish everyone used it!

Mapstr is super intuitive and makes it easy to organize all the places that you’re saving to your map. Color-coded tags (with proximity reminders) make it my favorite to keep track of places I visit and enjoy while on the road. Highly recommend if you are the person looking for easy and intuitive way to organize your favorite spots! Customer service is also top-notch! Quick and on-point response!

I love to discuss of nice bars,restaurants,coffee and brunches with my friends and Mapstr makes it easy to document the places i ve discovered and the ones i want to try,. Yesterday again,i was looking for a bar and i foind in mapstr one that i had marked as "To try" just near me. Really great app

Amazing app! Finally one place where I can organize the places I want to eat and restaurants to try when I travel. It's so easy to use! Consider it like maps, Yelp, Pinterest all combined in one!!!

This app lets me do something that no other app can do. I can add any place of interest using easy to spot icons and colors so I know what every bookmarked location is at a glance. For my type of travel (visiting interesting places like old forts, lighthouses, wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls, scenic hikes, national parks, and unique natural features) there is no better planning tool. I used to do this on paper maps and it was a lot more work. No map software, not even the great Google, has these locations marked with easy to search/filter tags. In fact most of the places I search for on Google are either not found or have an incorrect location. The real problem is that there is no searchable database on the Internet of interesting places, it's all found through experience, research, or talking with people. I think this app, with it's ability to share, may become that database some day. This app lets me put the bookmark anywhere on the map I want using street or aerial view, and move it around freely until it's in the right spot. The best part is that you can tag locations with keywords that you define and customize the color of the keywords (multiple keywords result in a multicolored pie on the icon). You can choose one of a variety of icons to identify the location. For example I use the binocular icon to define wildlife viewing, and the tree icon for hikes and waterfalls (the latter is key worded with blue). The app could definitely use more icons, and I've asked them to add some. Ideally it would be nice to import your own to take the burden away from the developers. You can add notes and even web links to any location as well as your own pictures. Overall a great app that allows you to plan great adventures, and I have found nothing that comes close.

I've been using Mapstr for awhile now. It's very convenient but lacks two features that would make it perfect. 1) I have a tag called "To Try" for places I want to check out. But it lists ALL places I want to try. If I also choose another specific tag, like "Restaurant", then it turns results for both categories, including restaurants I'm already familiar with. I'd love a way to narrow down or filter choices so that in this example it would show only restaurants I want to try, instead of showing all restaurants along with every venue I want to try. 2) It would be great to include Yelp and Foursquare links to the venues.

Very helpful, I can track all of the places I've been with different color pins and leave a description of the place if I please for later on down the road.
