What a great little app! I found out about the app in a column on the Air France magazine last year and I can't believe how handy it's been since. I travel a good amount and I love tagging great restaurants in every city that I go to, and the ability to share makes it even more handy. Having the option to tag different categories (restaurants, discotheques, stores, etc) also makes it easy to look for all your saved places at a glance, and the list option sorts places based on distance, so if you save recommendations from friends you can find out how close you are to all of them and make a decision based on that. Legitimately very happy, and I wish the developer a lot of success!

Mapstr is perfect for planning a vacation. The endless lists of recommended hot spots - from friends, family, travel magazines -come to life in a map, and with the proximity alerts, you won’t miss a thing as you wander around a new city. The interface is easy to navigate and beautiful. We absolutely love the custom tagging for easy filtering, and we can add a comment for each spot noting how we learned about it. Check out Mapstr’s Facebook page for recommended ambassadors to follow. I’m also using the app to share recommendations in our neighborhood for our house guests. Highly recommended!

I have been looking for an app such as this one. Map your favorite places, tag, keep track of them. And it is a joy to use. I wish there was a way to edit the theme of the whole thing. The yellow is not working for me. That is also one less color to use on tags (lol). ??

Perfect if you want to bookmark a place or location you need to come back to. I wanted a app that works seamlessly with Maps and this does just that. You can change the navigation to something different if you want. I just did not want another app to clog up the screen. Just download it. What do you have to loose.

Amazing app- really allows you to get your bearings on what areas in a city you know best. (Let's you change names and colors of markers by holding down on tag)

No more going to the same restaurants for this girl! Love that you can tag a place and reference later, google maps was my go to but it's so cluttered already. This application is just what I want to see and my own tags without advertisements. Love love love!
