The service work fine until it was time to renew my annual subscription. The app would not give me the option to renew, I contacted Support through the chat and was told I have to wait for an email from Support to help me. Support emailed me two months later asking me to click the button that says renew even though the button doesn't exist... Which made it clear that they never read the logs. I emailed them back telling them I have no upgrade option in the application nor do I see it's on their webpage since the number still shows as active. It's been two weeks now and I still have not received a response and my number is no longer working. On a personal note I think the problem is I added international calling credit to my account and now even though my subscription expired it's still sees that credit and doesn't want me to renew but the problem is Customer Service's to fix.

Here is something new. Tonight my app became useless as I can't make any calls because I need to renew my services. But get this: there is no renew option on the app or on the online platform. So no service. The customer help chat was anything but help. I kept reading: „I will make a report“. IF you plan to purchase this for business thinking that it is reliable, stay away. =======================my comment a year ago: So many negative things have been said already. Two things not working are the following: sometimes the phone does not ring for incoming calls, also if the phone is in locked mode and you get a notification of a phone call or of a missed call, and you try to unlock the phone the app does not show who called you and erases the notification.

I've heard this advertised on ESPNradio, among other places, for calling home when overseas. What they conveniently leave out is that you need to have a Magic Jack device already. Misleading at best.

The old interface was clunky looking. The new design looks GREAT! App still works as it should and does it well.

MagicJack sounds like a good idea but soon after subscribing you'll find that it usually does not work, or the voice quality is so poor that you can not use it. This applies both to the app and the physical adapter. The physical adapter has to be restarted very frequently so you miss most calls regardless. Also do not port a number in to MagicJack if you ever have the intention of porting it to another provider. You won't be able to without contacting the FCC to force them to port your number to another service.

Logs out frequently even though background app enabled, doesn't have "remember me" checkbox so have to reenter login every time. Doesn't remember last number selected (multiple numbers) when logging in. No way to force reconnect when offline.

The app worked great for the first year. I was working overseas and was able to keep in contact with everyone at home using the app. After the first year ended, my subscription ended and the app gave me no way to renew. I have spoken to customer support 4+ times with no success on how to re-up my subscription . They kept telling me to uninstall/reinstall. I am trying to give them money for another year, but it's seems they don't have the ability or want to...I just don't get it. Do yourself a favor, there are so many other options out there, I would suggest using one of them and staying away from MJ.
