Inability to login or create account.

GF5000

Inability to login or create account. I have tried over and over. All I get is the same error message, “ we are unable to access our server.” Really, this does not appear to be a new problem. As this is tied to one of the top credit institutions, you should probably fix the issue instead of letting it go and offering to fix it if others send more info.

Bogus security questions

Asked nonsensical identity verification questions when trying to sign up. Maybe they'll send me a verification code in the mail.

Doesn’t Work

This app claims that it lets you unfreeze your credit report, but there’s no where in the app to do that. Skip the app and use the Equifax website instead.

Never works.

Upon login of the app I always receive an error stating that it cannot complete my request, call the customer service team and mention error code 112. It is very frustrating and I shouldn’t have to do that.

It does not work.

The first thing you see when you open the app is an error page asking you to call them. That seems fishy to me. This is a shame. By the way, my middle name is not “Null”.

No reason to have this app

Compared to Experian and TransUnion their is no reason to have this app. Does nothing to a company that dictates your life. Worst worst app of all time.

Pointless

Have unsuccessfully attempted to create an account 10 times over the past week. Fill out all required personal information, create password and then get the lovely response that “we are unable to connect to our services, try again later.” Again, pointless if an account can’t be created.

App works unlike web site

I have to give the app a good rating. It actually works, unlike the web site, where the link to Lock and Alert gives the good old “Safari can’t find the server” message. I was about to despair my chances of relocking my report until I logged into the app and it took all of 5 seconds — it took a lot longer for me to pull up my password. What can be very confusing is that L&A is a different account/password than any previous Eqfx password you may have used. Several months ago this app actually also saved me from a possible problem with my mortgage closing. I had been able to unfreeze my other reports, but could not make it happen on Eqfx website. The app made it work. Is “locked” a watered down version of “frozen”? Probably, but I’ll take it if it’s the best I can get. It seems to be functionally equivalent as far as I can tell.

No way to unfreeze my credit report

Cageycruz

I placed a security freeze on my EquiFax credit report to protect it. But now I want to refinance my mortgage and can't get it unfrozen. This app did not work. It only gave “Error 112” I tried the website. I can login and request the freeze be removed but just get an error message saying the request cannot be processed and instructing me to call. I tried calling. Only get a robot that says to use the website, fax or mail a letter. I tried typing a letter with copies of ID and faxed it in. Their fax machine does not answer. I tried sending the letter in via US Mail. I got a letter back confirming that the freeze had been lifted. But it hasn't. The lender told me they could not get it. Equifax says my credit score is 0. Other credit unions have it at over 750. Who can I scream at to make this work? It's costing me lots of money to pay high interest rate on my mortgage when I could get it refinanced to a lower rate if not for Equifax.

Terrible app

Got the app yesterday and after setting everything up, it said I my request to get into it couldn’t be completed and I needed to call for help concerning a freeze on my account. Today, it says my email and password don’t match. Equifax and this app are both useless.
