I was finally able to reach someone to help me reset my pwd. Here’s the number I dialed: 1-888-548-7878 option: 1 then option: 2. Be prepared to answer a ton of security questions and afterwards, they will email you a link to reset your pwd. Hope this helps.
The app keeps rejecting the login credentials. I can sign in to Equifax website but cannot sign in to this app. Not sure if this is a different entity than the site but it doesn’t make sense.
I purchased an Equifax account that I can log into with a browser on the web sight with no problem, but this app refuses to accept the account.
My husband signed up for this and used it to kick his account. Unfortunately, he used a work email and has since switched jobs. Can’t remember the password and now can’t get the reset email. We got locked out trying diff passwords, and the app gives the Equifax customer service number. Yet after FIVE tries, no one at Equifax seems to understand how to reset Lock & Alert, their own product. It’s infuriating, and we still don’t have access.
Can never sign in to this app, not even with my thumb ID. Keep getting the message , we are unable to connect to our servers. It’s frustrating when you need to unlock it so they can run your credit and the app won’t even let you sign in!
Don’t bother with app. When you need to unlock it the their server is down. If you call in it will be a long call verification. Who remembers an account you closed out and the amount you had on it before closing!!!
The only credit monitoring app that doesn’t let you see your credit score or your credit report. Locking and unlocking your report is something that you maybe do once a year at the most. No need for a special app for that, easy enough to do that at the computer. But checking one’s credit score and credit report is something that one should do at least once a week. The app as designed is worthless. The developers must have been brain dead when they came up with the idea for this turkey.
Even though I just set up a username and password on their website, the app will not allow me to sigh in. Fix this Equifax!!
It does not allow you to register and asks to call customer care. When the customer care was called during working hours it engages you with a long set of security question only to report the offices are not open. The immediate impression one gets is that the number dialed is a scam and does all the IVR interrogation only to glean confidential information; what a shame it is that one uses this app just to prevent fraudulent misuse of ones credit while the number they give to to get help itself appears like a big scam. Really disappointed. I hope wrong entities don't now have my information. Pathetic!
