I requested my account to be deleted two week ago. They were quick to respond to my support ticket and I see they are quick to respond to comments in the App Store, but I was told due to volume of requests, I would have to wait for my account to be deleted. Two weeks later and they have time to answer App Store reviews but no time to delete my account? Shady. Shame on me for handing over sensitive financial data to a fly by night company.

UPDATE: Apparently my bank wasn’t up to date with 2018. They finally updated their app and I was able to set up joy savings. 5 stars! I’ve been wanting to get control over my spending and to make better choices and I can already see this app will help! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that I am getting errors every time I try to set up the savings. I enter my info correctly so not sure what else I can do.

The positive: Colorful and entertaining design. The negative: Security and value. Hacking is becoming all to common and being asked to provide banking information to an unproven app is risky to say the least. Outside of knowing how I ‘feel’ about my spending the advice seems more geared towards children than adults serious about financial wellbeing.

Loved the whole thing, super excited about the concept and the ease of use AND THEN they didn’t offer my bank. At first I thought I could use it without my bank being attached but nope. The app is completely useless if you don’t put the bank system with it and now I can’t enjoy it.

I have tried several times to get in. At first I thought it was a problem with the internet, but everything else ran perfectly. I will enter my information, but every time the app with take forever to authorize and it will say “there is an error with our servers. Please try again later” I was really looking forward to trying this app, but it’s useless if I can’t get in.

I was open to giving this concept a try but I’ve not been impressed. The customer service is horrifying. I’ve emailed repeatedly over the last couple of weeks about disconnecting my bank account and no one will return my email. It’s terrifying when an app has your bank account info and they don’t communicate well. Feels silly and scammy. Still waiting for them to respond and disconnect my bank account.

Doesn’t even work. Can’t even connect with my bank account and fails to work every single time. Really wanted to like this app. Too bad

What does it do?

I signed up for an account, went through the entire experience, linked my bank account, and created a savings account. Then it asked me to rate some purchases which were mostly credit card payments and then that was it. Now when I press most of the buttons my phone has haptic feedback but the app does nothing. I tried closing my account but it requires that I email, and I didn’t get any response. What even is “bank level security”?
