Fun to use with some improvements

Jazzrea

Pros- 1. More fun to use than most other finance apps 2. Happy and sad spend is a fabulous idea. It’s definitely would make me think twice to repeat the sad spends 3. Great UI 4. Daily save really helps me achieve my goal 5. Insights into other people’s spending habits for benchmarking Cons- 1. Cannot hide expenses from business card: I have an Amex account that includes both my personal Amex card and corporate Amex card. I don’t want the spends from corporate card to show up in joy since they are neither happy or sad spends 2. When I go to set up saving account within Joy, there are no options to ask questions regarding interest rates with my coach.

Shame

I can’t create an account because I’m Brazilian and the app doesn’t allow me to put the last three numbers of my phone.

Great App!

Finally an app that is personalized to me as a consumer and how view my spending habits. Really helps me gauge what makes me happy financially.

Cute but preset for adults

I haven’t even gotten into the app yet (which by the way has one of the best layouts I’ve seen) because one of the first questions asked was how much I pay monthly for rent. Harmless question. However, I am only 17 and currently live with my parents, I do work and need to manage my money though. Everything else seems fine but there needs to be another option when coming across this question. And any other question that may not apply to everyone.

Simple

For a single college student, this made saving easy. I did not want an app that was a drag and had a bunch of features I would never use. I have tried those, and I just get lost. This was like a breath of fresh air. I can review all of my purchases and decide if they were worth it or not. It put things into perspective quickly, and I have already stopped with some of the purchases that were bad spends. It’s a super good idea, and the saving makes it super easy, and I use it every day!

Wasn’t for me

I tried the app and didn’t really understand the purpose but I did try and give it a chance. Closing your account is going to take a while. I didn’t want to just uninstall the app while it still had access to my bank account. I emailed support to close the account (which is the only way to do this) was told support is backed up and eventually my account would be closed. It’s been exactly a month now and still no closure. Update: I sent another email in got a response with a link to a Google doc asking for more information. Completed it and it said it could take up to thirty days to close my account.
