So far I love the app, but I’m scared to link my bank account. Is it safe and has anyone had problems?

I’m super excited to use this app but it won’t let me add my bank information. I’ll gladly give five stars once it works.

Not a safe app

I didn’t go all the way through the app but I found the questions that were asked really inappropriate and uncomfortable and I don’t think anyone under the age of 18 should be using it.

Want to feel good?

I am a finance app junkie; I have a couple dozen installed at any given time and I constantly utilize several for my budgeting and tracking. This app is completely unique in that it focuses specifically on how your spending makes you FEEL. I’ve only been using it for a week or so, but today I found myself considering a trip to our local doughnut shop with the kids for breakfast, and my initial thought was, “Will it make me happy?” This is a great shift in how I think about my spending and it’s helping a ton in my efforts to be less impulsive and more mindful in where I choose to spend.

Doesn’t have my bank Account

I can’t connect my bank account with the app because it’s not an option in the lists of banking companies. I use SEFCU.

Good idea, but not executed well yet.

I love the idea of this app. I think tracking your spending by what makes you happy or unhappy makes sense. Unfortunately, the execution is not there yet. They've added a skip feature, which is helpful, but rating spends is still time consuming. The app also fails to correctly recognize the categories of many expenses. I'm interested to see how this continues to be updated, but in its current iteration, it's not very user friendly or useful.

App great but can’t connect bank account

I want to try Joy out but unfortunately I am unable to connect my bank account and there is no way to get support. While the personal assistant seems nice, I can’t really try this app out! Avoid if you don’t have a major bank that supports Plaid. It says mine is supported but fails everytime.
