App used to work, broken for the last year. Not buying another JBL

Not sure what this app is supposed to do—it basically just told me how to connect the speaker to my phone and continues to say it’s searching for the device. So far the app is USELESS. I’d love to be able to control the speaker from the app when I have the speaker connected to another device (like my TV)—something I’ve been able to do with my Bose speakers. Sigh

Bought two pulse 4 and one xtrme2 .. yeah they are not compatible. Is this some kind of bad joke? New speakers are not backwards compatible? Fire your product managers. And while you’re at it, fire your QA team also.. the speakers can’t hold a connection for more than 20 seconds. Unbelievably bad.. I rarely write review but this company should be banned from the App Store and from consumers in general. Jesus...

My first review got deleted! Pointless ap! None of the different generation speakers communicate to each other. Not because it’s a benefit, not because it’s better, but because they want you to upgrade your old flip to a new one. Tried talking to support and got ignored! Jbl is pathetic!

It is unfortunate that the failure of the app resulted in me returning the speakers. What’s additionally disappointing is that the company has had ample notification through repeated reviews. Email to the company led to equally unsatisfying resolution as I was advised to try another phone ( not an option) or return the speaker. Dear Reviewer, don’t waste your time, energy or money on this product or this app.

Just received JBL Charge 4 & began playing music from my iPhone. Decided the sound needed some tweaking so, as the speaker’s Quick Guide suggested, I installed this app. And found that was a mistake. Right after agreeing to all the legalize a screen asks you to turn on Bluetooth; well it was already ON at that point. So I made numerous attempts turning Bluetooth on/off with App on/off and still no joy. I was never able to get past that screen and actually USE the App - so Totally Broken. I am even considering returning the speaker itself and find a more unifying brand.

I can’t speak to any functionality on this app. Every time I start it, it asks me to turn on bluetooth (I’ve tried starting with it on, starting with it off and the turning it on, and starting with it disabled for 24 hours then turning it on.) Still it does nothing, just sits there asking me to turn on bluetooth. I’m running ios 13, if you are too don’t even bother with downloading this app.

If I could give it zero stars, I’d consider it. I’d say that maybe 1 try out of 20 actually worked in being able to turn my links JBL Flip 5’s from “party boost” to stereo. I tried everything, but in the end I couldn’t get it to work at all. I’ll be returning the speakers in the morning. Not sure what JBL was thinking.

All I want to do is put my two JBL Flips in Stereo Mode (which apparently is impossible without this app), but GUESS WHAT? IT DOESNT WORK! WHOOOOOOOO! Best app ever in my opinion
