Update killed sync

darrenjday

The latest update on 1/26/2018 disabled all synchronization services. I no longer have access to any of my appointments or scheduled tasks. The app continually remind me that I need to purchase it and enable in app purchases. I have already purchased this app. I paid $29 to use this app. It now does nothing. Also, I am not getting any response from Customer Service.

Please fix

I have used this app for years. But one thing is different since it became informant 5. The app does not synch between my iPhone and iPad anymore. I need the synch because I depend on this app for all my appointments, meetings, etc.

Informant 5

I have been a long time user of Pocket Informant. It literally keeps my life together!! The only reason for the 4 stars, is that I think that Informant 5 was a step backward from the previous versions. The app seems to have many more “snags” (monthly view not populating until you select a date), and I absolutely hate the new method of entering times for events and tasks (the apple dial). I keep switching the am/pm dial when trying to get the minutes. I miss being able to simply type in the time. The old format also made it easier to view event conflicts while choosing a time to schedule an appointment. All in all, still a great app, but I wish they would undo some of their changes.

Can’t get account going .... support dragging feet

LIrog

Password reset not working and support, can’t believe the lame answers What happen? N why give us a awful date picker .... * awful date/time chooser (I really don't think they r going to change it back either because they r displaying it as better) Everything that made this the best has been stripped away. (This was my first review) From a user from the start: And now after a three month trail: Won't be renewing subscription! I saw the writing on the wall and where this was heading but I still wanted to support and see if it was worth a subscription ..... for our company "No!" App will be removed from all colleagues devices! It's a shame! Another great app just bit the dust.

Lost features on update.

How do you call it an update and lose features. Once I updated I lost the ability to do a task and select different viewing of calendars. I guess I will be deleting this app.

I love this app!

I tried several other apps and this app had everything I need. I’m a business owner and could not run business without this app. Must have for business owners.

Meh, it’s fair to okay but certainly not worth the price.

Once, a few years ago this was a really great product. I loved it and used it every day for a long time. I still use it, but I’m looking for alternatives. It has become an apparent behemoth, incredibly slow to update. It sometimes takes hours to a day to update from iOS calendar. And I cannot afford to crate an appointment on the fly with Amazon Alexa and wait forever for it to appear on Informant, all the time wondering if it will update or if I will miss an important appointment or task. In tech, it’s innovate or die. This one is almost dead.

Latest update was last straw

fourwindsbar

The latest update broke several things for me on iPhone. I have several triggers for each family member, each with a different color so I can differentiate them at a glance. Events using a Trigger no longer use the color assigned to the trigger, just the default calendar one. Also does not recognize words, and flow stutters. Deleting form phone, will check later releases to see if fixed. 2/7/18: Sent observations to Informant Support to open ticket.

Misleading ratings

Read the reviews, not only for this version App but also for its very functional predecessor, Informant 4.9. That was a very highly rated (rightfully so) App until the release of Informant 5. It is now a "2 star" App, because of reviews from long-time users who are disgusted by the loss of functionality with the current version & the new ownership's price gouging.

No way in HELL I’m paying a $25 subscription for a calendar app!

MJ_Dolan

I had no clue this involved subscribing to a useless service. No way in HELL I’m paying a $25 subscription for a calendar app!
