Zero Stars!!!

Victorony

I paid $5 for version 3, then $15 for version 4. I also paid extra for weather TWICE! Version 5 is a subscription service that for $25 A YEAR I can rent what I already bought twice! Why not allow people like me who ALREADY GAVE YOU MONEY to switch to version 5 for free? I’d give this negative stars if I could.

Enough

Informant has been in my dock for many years. I have paid more for this than any other calendar/planner app. After reading many of your responses for changing to a subscription model, I am simply not convinced that there would not be another money grab. Pocket informant was expensive, but this was not enough. You can very easily use the same reasoning for another money grab. When the app is no longer supported by current iOS, you simply stop supporting this app, debut a new app and double the cost of subscription. Based on history and your comments I can see this happening so I am out. Deleting.

Will this ever be fixed?

Today View has always been problematic. I have used this app on multiple devices (iPhone 6s, iPhone X, iPad Pro 10.5, and iPad 3). And I have been using this app ever since the developer forced users who bought Informant to download this versions and buy a subscription. The Today View has always been buggy and it has just not worked at all since I got the 2 newer devices. Never shows days or events. Fix the app.

My lifeline

Criminal defense lawyer

As a criminal defense attorney and law school professor, I have relied on informant since it was first released years ago. It is my professional and personal lifeline to the world. Appointments, tasks, notes all organized in one app? What could be better?

Support inadequate

I have been using Informant for a few years and love it. But on occasions, I need help with support when it come to the sync function. I pay for Informant Sync and I don’t mind but it doesn’t seem to always work as it should. Hence the need for support. I still have an open ticket since Dec 30 2017 and it’s a battle to get help to make the sync work.

Needs Location Based Alerts

RRRSSSD

The app looks very nice, and even though this is by far the most expensive phone calendar app I’ve ever seen ($25 every year), it does have some nice features. However, it also has some glaring omissions. For example, there is no way to set an alert for an event based on Time to Leave. The only option it gives you is to get an alert at a pre-defined amount of time before the event. But other calendar apps let you set a location based alert. So I can say alert me 20 minutes before I need to leave for this event. Then based on my current location and current traffic conditions, it tells me when I should leave. But Informant doesn’t give you that option when creating an event. Similar with location based tasks. The alerts in Informant’s tasks are only for a set date and time. But other task apps let you receive an alert when you arrive or leave a location. (ie, remind me to get eggs when I get within 500 feet of the grocery store) Or when your phone connects or disconnects from the Bluetooth in your car. If Informant can add location based alerts, then I will reconsider using it. But until then, other calendar and task apps have a leg up.

Mostly Good App

A lot of features but things don’t work, as well. While Apple Watch support is indicated on the iTunes store, it apparently has been depreciated as in, it doesn’t exist. It seems as though features disappear and the price goes up. I wouldn’t be surprised that one day the vendor charges a fee for every login.

Hate the upgrade

TyTy 2811

I bought the "subscription" but before I renew I will find an app that doesn't charge me to sync to google. I've been using informant for years and having to pay a subscription is new. HATE IT

iPhone X week view

Chuckak

I love Informant. I have it on all my devices, including my Mac. I love how it syncs across all of them seamlessly. It is my top GO TO app. My only problem is with my iPhone X in week view, the bottom two days are cut off with the new toolbar (even collapsed). The top day in week view takes up too much of the screen. Is there a way I (you) can fix this? Thank you so much.

Awful to use with Apple 5

Zztracy

New Informant 5 for iPhone X makes it nearly impossible to switch apps using Apples "Home Bar" at bottom of screen without swiping twice. Swiping once seems to take up to much of Apple's Home Bar real estate and only results in showing the Informant Search screen. You have to swipe again to access Apples app switching screen. This is the only app I've seen that does that. Informant needs to respect Apple's space at the bottom of the screen.
