Can’t change the alarm sound source!

I have been trying to set my alarm to iHeartRadio but my alarm sound won’t change and stays on the same iHome tone...help?! I can play iHeartRadio with this app for the sake of just listening to music but it won’t allow me to set anything for an alarm. I have obviously did a factory reset on my AVS16 and reinstalled this iHome app. After doing both of these it still did not remedy the issue. It has to be glitchy from an Apple update?

I just got my iHome AVS and I’m digging it. I’m about to be getting a bunch of smart home stuff to control my room with (I’ll update when I’ve used those and say if they are good). The colors are nice and the dimming of the screen and colors is nice, I just wish that the color strip on the bottom and the screen dimmed together by the same button on the top of the device. I’ve run into two annoying bugs so far and they are really effecting how I like to use the clock. 1) none of my music plays through the local function in the iHome app. I have to use bluetooth to use my phones music. When I go to play a song through the built in app, it just keeps skipping through the songs not playing a single one of them, then it says it can’t play my song. I know that’s not huge but it’s annoying having to connect to Bluetooth every time I want to play music. 2) and this one is really throwing me for a loop. Alexa’s voice and the sound for the alarm clock have to be set under the same volume. I’m a heavy sleeper so I need the alarm clock set 20+ but I, in no way need Alexa yelling through my whole house at those volumes. I need Alexa and the alarms to be able to have separate volume controls. So when I ask Alexa a question I don’t have to stand away from her as to not blow my ear drums out. I also don’t want to have to continually change the volume up before I go to bed and then down after I wake up. GIVE US SEPARATE VOLUME CONTROLS!

Frustrated on Christmas!!!!
I can't set this up with the app. It doesn't connect to wireless and then it won't let me log into my account! I returned the unit and got another. Same problem! When I called support they had me on hold forever and never answered. and I just may return this and get my money back!

Is there a way to keep the Bluetooth connected, just like the WiFi? Every time I stop a song, to tend to something else, I I have to reconnect back to Bluetooth. ^^^ That’s annoying!! -_- Why isn’t all of my “local” music available in the “local” area in the iHomeAVS app? There are only about 12 songs that are listed, and the songs were originally from Apple Music, but I have hundreds of songs in my Apple Music. So why some songs, but not others? ^^^ This is another issue I have!

There are so many bugs with my alarm clock! I spent over $150 on this and it can't even work?? How come there are only four alarm tones on the app, but I can't use the Alexa tones?!There is grainy noise coming out of the speaker and it's really annoying, even when I'm not playing any sound! Please fix this!! [Update #1: I was directed by iHome Support to return the device and they'll send a new one in place of it. Stay tuned] [Update #2: I am very happy so far. iHome is sending me a replacement system AND they made more alarm choices as I asked them to! There new firmware update is ?]
