Just opened and can’t use it right away

It says to download this app and connect to WiFi using the steps listed. I followed everything and it won’t connect. I can’t even change the time until it gets fixed. Terrible app terrible product, this company should’ve gone out of business with the iPod.

Worst. App. Ever. Setting light dimmer doesn't work properly, cant set and have the setting stick, and it’ll dim itself to unviewable daily due to setting display brightness and eventually have to unplug clock to be able to see anything on display. Audio volume jumps around when you try to use it and never sits where you want it to. Mucho dislike!
I’m totally lost

Speaker seems great, the looks and features but I can’t figure out how to work the thing without using the app and frankly the app needs to be updated and fixed. When I try to sign into Alexa, it brings me to a white screen and doesn’t ever change. So I’m incapable of setting up Alexa. None of the features are showing up on the face of the clock when I input them into settings (time zone, weather) and I can’t change the time. I don’t care for the WiFi connection; wish is was Bluetooth. Or at least didn’t constantly tell me “WiFi connection lost” after disconnecting. I hope some things can change for the better soon.

If I could give it a zero I would. First of all we just brought this thing. Everything connected. Try to download a firmware update and everything freezes and asks to go through the set up again. Secondly, we try to connect my wife’s amazon/Alexa and it continues to timeout and app doesn’t let us connect it. Needs some serious work. Worthless device all because of an app failure.

I want to see lot more of upcoming updates for the iHome AVS app, and no glitching and faster app set up I also think it should be faster like 3x times faster?

Cannot connect to the Alexa portion and complete the setup. I have an amazon account but I keep getting FAIL when trying to set up on my IPhone 7, latest update iOS 11.3.1. Frustrating! But it is a pretty clock.

Bought the AVS16 yesterday... The set up instructions are VERY SIMPLE. Plug it in, download the app, follow the directions. Sounds easy enough, right? Did all that SEVERAL TIMES and it still won’t pair. Called the Support Number and have been on hold for over 30 minutes and I’m STILL the 5th caller in line. I was the 5th caller 30 minutes ago when I first initiated the call so there’s been no progress on their end. As excited as I was to get my new device, it looks like I’m taking this one back.
Can you guys release regular updates?

Most of the iHome apps are updated once a year, why can’t they be regularly maintained once a month at least?? I’ve bought many iHome products for years and I always find how some of the apps lack many features and have bugs. But, the apps are left to fend for themselves after one or two releases of an iHome app. You guys need a reliable app that can at least maintain a 4.0 or higher rating (like your Zen app). It shouldn’t be that difficult. If it is, hire more people so there can be more updates and more happy customers. Developers, send this to the founder of iHome because we are done with this non-sense. I’m sorry but I didn’t see what the developer said for this review.
