Technical difficulties

The app in whole is a great idea to connect with your loved ones .only if it always worked . I’m constantly having problems . The app will Shut off mid conversation. Most recently I had to delete the app and reinstall it because it had the loading symbol for 3 days straight and it wasn’t my reception. I feel it needs to work out the kinks


Can’t use at all

The jail recently changed the company it uses to contact inmates. I have tried repeatedly to set this app up as this is what they now use. I try to set up a new account so I can add funds however it will not take a profile picture. It does have access to my camera and my gallery. I was finally able to use a picture from the gallery and now it wants my government ID? Again the camera will not operate to take a picture of the government ID. If I have this much trouble setting up an account how can I have faith the service will work at all?

I was locked out my account and couldn’t Log on. This the second time this happens. Please fix this because it’s sad that you put funds on an account and can’t access your account. Please fix this???? Thanks.

Downloaded it did everything it says. Will not pull up any faces and will not be able to talk to each other. So very sad ??


Spotty if it even works

The phone calls are really spotty and on the messaging service whenever I receive a video I will not receive it at all just keeps saying this video is processing and it processes for weeks on end please fix this for a better rating thank you


Worst Inmate Communication Company Ever!!

I have spent $1,625.00 on HomeWAV since March 2020. The only thing worse than the app is the customer service. Half, if not more, of my video chats had to end early because of sound issues, screen freezing, lagging, etc. It happened on the inmates side of the screen as well as mine. Yet I was told when they reviewed the video chat they did not see any issues on inmates side, so it was only my side, meaning they were not responsible and a refund was out of the question. End of discussion. Another time I received a video message from an inmate that I have no idea who he is or what facility he is even at, because it’s not the facility my inmate is at. A few days ago my inmate sent me a video message, and I am unable to view it. It says “This video is being processed” and this thing spins around and around and around. So I told my inmate I was unable to view that video message and for him to send me another one. He did. Same thing happened with 2nd one like it did the first one. I email support desk and the response I got from Candace was that I should uninstall the app and reinstall it. I did that and still got the same thing on those 2 video messages. So I take a video of my screen so I can show her it’s still doing the same thing. The response from Candace then was that she was able to view the videos just fine, so she didn’t see a problem. Case closed. I sent an email back and asked if they could send me a copy of those 2 videos since they can view them and I cannot. Dani answers that email and come to find out, there is an issue with video messages not loading or being able to be viewed on certain platforms and IT is working on it, but it might be a couple of days. Mind you, I have been charged for these videos that I have still not been able to watch. No offer or mention of a refund when I even asked and my question was ignored. Really HomeWAV? $1,625.00 later and you can’t offer me some kind of credit or refund or anything?? I hope you take that money and send Candace and other employees to get some customer service/people training and skills, because they clearly do not have any. You can even keep my $0.50 for each message (2) and put it towards getting her and whoever else needs it some people skills.


Horrible Connection

The connection is ridiculous. There’s always an issue with it freezing up, cutting out, etc. Every time you report a “bug”, it NEVER works. A video call is the closest thing some of us have/get to our loved ones behind bars and it’s so frustrating to pay the kind of money we do, and it always have issues.


Buffering

I have to delete then redownload the app to use it. When I open the app up it is just buffering and doesn't initially list the connection that I added. Very annoying and inconvenient.

This app is not easy to use, it keeps doing this loading thing when I go on it, not having a very good experience with this.....
