Excessive fees

Half your fees are bogus or otherwise excessive. I use to use home away exclusively, now I only use it as a last resort.
Listing prices are off

Main page shows one price but when I select a listing it’s showing a completely diff per night price. Off by $500 some of them.
Unjustified last minute cancellation

We were notified by the app that our transaction has been canceled TWO HOURS prior to check-in time. Apparently, you as a guest can only cancel the transaction 14 days prior to check-in date for a full refund, while the home owner can cancel the transaction minutes before check-in time. Furthermore, their system does not allow booking for the same day check-in, so we were not able to look for a different property. We ended-up canceling the whole trip.

We travel multiple times a year and always use the HomeAway app. Never a bad experience, and encourage everyone to try it.

The site is ok, but now home owners are charging inflated cleaning fees and surcharges that just seem like a rip-off. Staring to make hotels look a lot more attractive.
Breakdown of bed types in bedrooms

It would be incredibly helpful to have a breakdown of the beds in each room. Sometimes the pictures get warped and it may be the difference between a queen and a king bed. If you could build in “ Bedroom 1, two singles. Bedroom 2, 1 queen.” That would be great. Also, to be able to look at the map without the horizontal scrollbar of properties at the bottom. Please and thank you!
