I’ve been using HomeAway for probably a decade. It’s great. Recently I had an issue with the app that was quickly fixed so I’m back to update my review. Great app

Great rentals anywhere I’ve wanted to go! Never any issues with booking, payments or checking in. Very user friendly, just watch out for refundable deposits. Mine have never been an issue as they are back on my credit card usually with in a day or so but it does effect the total price of your rental. Also, be aware of high cleaning fees and various other odd fees that are unnecessary. Lastly, read the reviews!!

Booked my 2 bed room condo and have proof it says all taxes and all fees paid in full. After I paid I receive another email telling me telling me I owe another $44. And if I don’t pay it they will cancel my room and take the entire funds I just spent in full no refund! I won’t do this again! The price is not the price even after you pay!!!

This place is absolutely gross and disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s filthy. There was blood and pee stains on mattress pads. All the dresser drawers are broken. Refrigerator inside drawers and shelves broken. Mattresses are gross. The coaches we refuse to sit on they are so dirty. The kitchen table and chairs are sticky and filled with stains and crumbs. I will not be eating there. The amount of money we paid to stay here? We were completely robbed and I am in tears that I have to stay here for an entire week. We called the rental company who are sending out the cleaning company again but there is little they will be able to do to make this an acceptable stay.

We rented a 1600 square foot, 3 bedroom townhome and arrived to find we are in an 800 square foot apartment. Up until today our “trip” in Hime Away showed the original rental. Now it’s the apartment. Called the property manager and he said it’s a Home Away issue. I can’t find a contact number for Home Away, so there’s no one to make it right. Not happy. Feel swindled.

We had the worst customer service we had ever experienced w HomeAway. Even their executive team was lacking. Too many creepy home owners - the last one was the one that broke the camels back. Stayed in the house while my husband was in the shower and wouldn’t leave!!! Also the website is not accurate w what is actually available we found this out about a month ago. No more HomeAway for us- learn from our mistake —- use Airbnb instead ( or go to a hotel)

The app works well for me, except when I want to check or calculate prices. I see prices in £ which means nothing to me. I have to use a web browser, where I can change the flag to get a different currency. Why the heck is that missing from the app?? Seriously.
