I was booked a mirror install with Handy through Wayfair when I ordered a mirror. The guy who showed up pulled out the drywall, hung it too low and it wasn't even level! When i called them they were too busy to come back for 3 days. They will not talk to you over the phone, nor with the actual handyman they sent, who says they only communicate with him through the app. If you ever looked for a startup who's interested in fast growth and has zero care for its customers - you're in the right place.

I been handy for almost 2 years now when they had first came out I joined them but they were paying decent money before but since the noon home Advisior they even got cheaper for pros. The handy man rate is very cheap they want you to paint 3 walls put down flooring 100 sq and go to Home Depot also to pick up the flooring and they will pay $80. Mind you have to put gas $20 I your car and travel 40 mins to go and 40 mins to come back. I’m sorry I’m a Handy man but not a slave they charge customer $480 and giving me $80. So I basically not doing any more job for them at all.

I requested a women. I’m a women and I feel comfortable having a women in my apt if it’s a stranger. They sent over a man. That man had a criminal record. That man stole my check book. And that man wrote 1k+ in fraudulent checks to himself. They do NOT CARE who they send over. The man had a criminal record so clearly they are NOT doing background checks on people. Oh and on top of all of this... he sucked at cleaning. Handy, you’re the worst. Use something else. This app is not to be trusted.

I had a good experience with the guy who came to help, but the app itself is a mess. They changed my original booking to a time I couldn’t be home for no reason/without telling me. The guy who was supposed to come called to apologize, saying it happened a lot. Then when I connected with a good person for the job and went to send him his well deserved tip, there was no option to do so. This would have been just disappointing if there weren’t a bunch of FAQ articles saying I could. When I sent a help request email, they conceded the tipping function just actually doesn’t work. Does this mean no one is getting them?? I hope not. Seems bad for everyone involved except Handy.
