Totally unreliable

Three out of three times my Handy cleaner has cancelled less than 30 minutes before the appointment. Unacceptable! I rearrange my whole week to be home, leave chores undone knowing the cleaner is coming, and have guests arriving, and they cancel last minute leaving me no alternative! And, Handy offers no compensation or effort to find a new cleaner for the same time. Only after complaining did I get a $10 credit, which is insultingly low. If I cancel less than 24 hours before an appointment, I get charged $15. You have no way to see what a cleaner’s cancellation rate is to plan (and based on my experience I imagine its high) and you have no way to provide feedback for cleaners who cancel. Unacceptable and terrible service. I cancelled my plan today.

This will be my 2nd time using them and already feel like I’m being taken advantage of. My first time using them I had selected who I wanted obviously someone from their team with reviews and experience with Handy, yet I got someone “new to Handy” no reviews. The cleaning was ok nothing fantastic. This time I booked several weeks in advance and until last night I checked had the Pro selected someone. With great review, etc This morning a couple of hours before my appointment starts I notice the person assigned has changed to someone “new to Handy” no reviews, nothing! I don’t like that. It’s already a bit uncomfortable having a stranger in your house, but someone new to your service no reviews why was this changed? This is no right and if I don’t hear from your team ASAP I will cancel my services all together and you can’t charge me penalty since you are not holding up your end!

They will take your money (I’m working with my credit card company) and not turn up. This is a fraud.
App works great and Bill did an amazing job.

App works great and Bill did an amazing job. The best thing about the app is the ability to get pricing and set a time based on what is being done. In my case had three outdoor sectionals that needed to be put together. Will definitely use the app in the future. Bill was on time and a really good guy.

Long story short: at least 4 times cleaners have canaceld at the very last minute. I have still been charged for the service. Taken my dog to day boarding (which isn't cheap) and it's all for nothing. When you complain via email, you MAY get a response a few days later that says"well we refunded you, were not taking into consideration any expenses that you may incur because of our negligence". Handy is terrible. The app service is awful. The cleaners are a tossup. I've had some that were amazing. And others that didn't do anything. There are great people who clean and those people should use this service to get a base of clients and then steal them away from Handy. No one should ever have to use this terrible app. It's awful. Customer service is a joke. And they make it near impossible to cancel service. Handy USED to be great when it still used "Execs" cleaners and infrstrucutre. Avoid this app like the plague it is. PS. Devs - please do not respond to this you are disingenuous and you won't change anything. Don't pretend like you care.
