Great app with a few small bugs

ThisIsAReviewNickname

I love this app, it really helped me. There are a few small bugs I’ve noticed that are more inconvenient than anything. I put a lot of my items in order in the list, but sometimes it shows a completely different order. Closing and reopening the app seems to make it go back to the way I want it. For my custom rewards, when I “buy” them, it doesn’t immediately update the total gold I have. It is updated in the background so that when I close and reopen the app, the change appears correctly. And I would prefer if the sub items on the todo list items would also give rewards. Other than that, this app really helped me get more productive. It makes me stop and reward myself for everything I do, which encourages me to keep doing it in the future. Thanks!

Love the app, great concept that needs execution.

Been amazing getting to track my habits and level up. App still needs some work, but I love the direction it’s headed. Keep it up devs!

The one thing I think I would love in Habitica is if they had seperate levels for different skills. Like the way RPG games are. You would have maybe a money skill level, a fitness skill level, etc. I believe that would be amazing.

THIS GOT MY LIFE TOGETHER

Anonymous572538369853

I literally love everything about this app. It got my entire life together. I credit it for my productivity in every aspect. It really is perfectly tailored for the user. A couple reasons why you should totally get this app: -The combination of ways to write tasks is soooo convenient! There are dailies for what you do on a repeated day to day or week to week basis, habits for things you want to do but aren’t quite doing every day yet, and a to-do list. This way I can keep “brush your teeth”, “keep your room clean”’ and “organize your desk” separated by appropriate category. -The gaming aspect is AWESOME! With other apps you check something off your todo and then that’s it. No real reward. With Habitica I get excited to level up or buy new items for my avatar! Plus I can make my own rewards so I can buy myself set rewards like “go out for ice cream” with currency I earn by completing my tasks. -With every missed daily or negative habit you lose life. This keeps me motivated to stay on top of things. But if I do fall behind, I just have to work a bit harder to buy a healing potion that can bring my health back up. I have to use the same gold that would be going towards my rewards otherwise, so it’s good motivation to stay productive. Honestly, just give this app a try. It’s really worth it. If you’re the type to be motivated by games, leveling up, and earning rewards, this is definitely the best app you can have for this type of thing.

Amazing, but some bugs

monkeys4lofe

This is a amazing task manager. This is the ideal planner, combining a game based off of tasks in real life. I really love it, it is amazing! However, there is a lot of glitches. When I try to hatch an egg, it wouldn’t hatch. When I received drops, it wouldn’t show up in my items inventory. Fix them, 5 stars!

Great! Looking for watch app

I absolutely love this app and has been using Habitica for a long time. Just ask if it is possible to add Apple Watch support in the future? It will be super convenient to log some habits on your wrist, as I sometimes forget to log using my phone. Anyway, thanks for your hard working and brilliant ideas!

I get stuff done bc I want to find stuff

Leone99

This has been the only app that has gotten me to get my stuff done. I love RPG’s, and this app is the best!!!

Bug Fixed

Pixelated_Prophecies

After updating to version 2.5, the app crashes every time I try to open it. Edit: Bug has been fixed. App works fine now

Amusing way to improve life

Missanimefan

This site, and by extension app, has been very useful in keeping up with things as well as improving life. Can’t remember if I took my medicine? Check the app because my phone is always with me so when I’ve taken it I can mark it off on dailies. Got a birthday you need to remember to get gift and mail off by a certain day? Put it on to-do with checklist of “buy gift” and “mail gift” to make sure you don’t forget! Wanna break a habit? Chewing nails or not drinking enough water? Add it to habits and get rewarded for each bottle you drink or lose some HP when you catch yourself chewing nails. These are just some examples from personal experience. I’ve been using this app almost a full year now and it continues to help me while being amusing as my work pays off in striking down my foes and gaining cute pets along the way. Would highly recommend, especially if you’re like me and suffer from mental troubles or needing a pay off to aide your motivation to improve life.

Very Good but not for everyone

The fundamental question behind this app is this, How engaging should an app be if it’s goal is to help you do something else? There’s really only a handful of things to do “in game”, I’m a mage at lvl 116 and I only have 4 spells. 4. I would like it if there was some way to see the rest of the party’s costumes and pets since that’s really the only “goal” of the game itself.
