This app is phenomenal for the most part. I use it every day for school and it’s unbelievably helpful. Unfortunately it makes the battery drain SUPER fast (this has been a common complaint online). Had I known about this issue I would’ve bought Notability instead but now I’m stuck because I pod for this one. For perspective, my very new (October 2019) iPad Air will only last 3 hours of the only app I use is Good Notes. This is unacceptable because the more you charge your device, the quicker the battery loses capacity. I’m afraid my constant use of this app will only make my battery worse and I don’t want to have a 1 year old iPad with an essentially 5 year old batter. Last thing, I found stuff online about this problem from 2016. The fact that customers have been complaining about this for 4 years with no improvements is baaaaad. Smh

Whenever I try to import a PowerPoint that has been converted to a PDF it says that it is unable to open. This makes this app virtually useless to me. Will be switching to notability.

I really liked it, it changed my experience note taking in class and while studying. I give it a 3 because I would prefer if they can integrate a ruler or at least a better shaping tool that I can later edit better, it’s still good but sometimes I have to be very precise and I see my self deleting what I diagram I drew in class. With that said I really like this app and I don’t regret buying it.

It just randomly decides sometimes to switch from the pen mode to eraser mode.

One of my most used tools for work and my personal life. I can’t believe I’ve lived life this long with out having it before.

UPDATE: I have found a work around for getting PDF versions of ppt files to upload. Requires a computer to export ppt file to PDF in PowerPoint, and then airdrop (or whatever transfer method) to the iPad. Leaving my 2 star rating because the issue with the app remains. Some people don’t always have a computer to be able to transfer. And in their case, it would be useless. While this app has never been good with power point, at least I could import ppt as PDF. Now that function is broken too. This was the only decent app, now it’s pretty useless.

This app has 3 pens you can choose from but the brush pen I was really looking forward to using is not working. Hope this gets fixed on next update .
