Love but needs improvements
Me, of course!$!
I really love using this app for note taking and organization, but could we PLEASE get better folder features to custom organize and be able to put folders within folders within folders without the master category feature??

This app is okay. However I wish I would have researched more before purchasing it. The inability for my notes to sync across my devices is a problem. They say you can sync the notes, but I have yet been able to figure out how to do this. My iCloud is turned on both devices, it shouldn't be this difficult to sync. There is no way to contact the company for support, simply a page full of frequently asked questions which isn't helpful. My handwriting also doesn't look as natural (using an Apple Pencil) compared to other note taking apps. Also the inability to lock notes is a big deal. I may consider using a different app like notability.

June 4// Thanks for the updated response. Still cant use hyper links with PDFs. I don’t mind typing in the hex codes but an eye dropper that allows you to select an exact color from whatever image/content that exist in the apps workspace would be perfect. I like the color wheels option to but a lot of times on devices it’s very hard to select an accurate color from them. Aside from that I can’t wait for whatever other improvements you guys roll out. May 21// pdf hyperlinks still do not work!!!! Anything imported as a PDF with hyperlinks will not work if I import a pdf into the GoodNotes via the Mac app and export it as a goodnotes file the links work on the ipad and iPhone apps. But if import a pdf straight into the iPad/ iPhone app they don’t function at all. One person who purchased one of my planners has been totally unable to import the file no matter how many ways she tried Dropbox/direct link/saved to phone it goes through the import process and then never show into the app. This app is great when it’s working but major issues like these need to be addressed. This app is great I've been using it a long time and making my own planners for it. I wish there was the ability to add links and slide clicks from within the app instead of having to use alternative apps like keynote. Also the fact there is no eye dropper tool is frustrating it seems like such a basic feature not sure why it hasnt been implemented because having to use another app to get color hex codes is really annoying. I also wish there were font choices. If you fixed at least the first 2 things this app would be perfect!!! 4/30/18 I haven’t updated to the latest version because people have been complaining about hyper links with the planners I make and sell not working on the latest update. This functionality is key I am bringing GoodNotes new customers but right now have had to halt selling planners to new customers because the hyperlinks within the planners don’t work for everyone. Please take a look at this bug and get it fixed!!!!! I sent a support ticket last week and still have not gotten a response.

I downloaded this because I don’t have any self control. As it turns out I stumbled on a gem. My brain works the way this app works. I’m writing a book, taking random notes, and helping my daughter with math homework on Good Notes. It’s pretty fun. So glad I’m an impulse buyer.

This app is very good. I really like the organization and hand writing recognition, however I really hate the lasso tool. It would seem like a no brained to have a square-selection option like in one note or notability, but instead it’s all freeform. There’s also this weird thing where if you hold down a selection you can’t move it, instead it just makes a ghost copy for you to do nothing with and I cannot find the purpose of this “feature”. These two things make rearranging notes frustrating and made me switch to notability as my primary note taking app
App functionality is great but drains battery big-time

I’ve had the app for a while but just recently noticed that my iPad battery was draining quickly. Looking at the battery diagnostic, it shows that GoodNotes is using 70%+ of my battery usage. Assume this is a problem with recent updates.
No option for lock folder

It’s better than notability but Goodnote still need to improve such as - File or Folder protection with password - Page scroll up/down instead of left right

This is an amazing note taking app. Obviously a lot better with the Apple Pencil, but it’s worth your money for: 1) Fluid writing (no lag) 2) Since you cant scroll up to write comfortably at the bottom of the page, they have an option to fix that?? 3) Good pdf annotation 4) Good customizations for pens and highlighters 5) A good variety of paper to chose from.
