The app is bad

sirobin171

This is in in any way a review of the train service. This is just my review of the Brightline app. What a horrible app. Most of the content it displays opens a browser. I don’t see a way to add my ticket to apple wallet. The app has really bad navigation. The app at times is un-useably slow. I can’t imagine relying on this app to display my ticket barcode when riding the train. Start over Brightline.

Rating train and its system, not the app

better at weather than NOAA

Website bites. Is ill/ lack of informed about everything. FYI. Parking costs $6 for 24 hours and app is mandatory. I had # on my phone and temp tags on car. Couldn’t update THAT on the phone so had to download THAT app just to park. When I booked Brightline ticket, don’t email had no QR so printed ticket. Also no QR. So even though I was 30 min early for train, before parking debacle, I was now bit pressed for time. Went upstairs and they directed me back downstairs to get proper ticket. Waited then once at counter told to go to kiosk to print ticket. Did so. Kiosk showed no valid reservation. So back to que at ticket counter. Then they couldn’t find my reservation even though I was holding printout. Now three minutes to departure. Told they would hold train. Then told I should have arrived earlier. Really?!?! Finally printed ticket. Ran upstairs. Tried to use printed ticket to get through gates. Gates showed train already left. And to go rebook. Gal said she would hold train. Couldn’t find my name on manifest. Even though ticket in hand. Ugh! Finally let me through anyway. Ugh.

Horrible!! Please fix it. After 3 hours of trying to buy 3 tickets I could not print them out. I have a conf # but now is says I have no confirmed tickets to print. Frustrating!!!!! Awful. I’ve taken the train in the past and it’s a great train but not website.

Great train, horrible app

App does as it pleases... crashes, freezes, blanks out, errors out during purchase. Regular rider, but app needs some serious work. Surprised Amadeus hasn’t done a better job with it.

Love Brightline! IT infrastructure is terrible

Every time I need to book a train, the app and the website are unresponsive. It deters me from riding the train and even going to the station to get a ticket. It’s no better trying to get a ticket there when the system is down. It follows through with the self-service checkout stations at the cafe/shop being unreliable as well. Not sure who their backend systems are managed by but hopefully with the Virgin investment they can upgrade this and make it dependable. Trains and stations and people are superb but IT is a mess. Please address this - it’s been since the start of service.

Great train, WORST app

Super slow app. Not user friendly. Takes forever to buy tickets and it makes me start over my purchase all the time. Seriously the worst app on my phone... and I even still use version 1 of apple maps

Terrible app, great train

The Brightline train is wonderful, but the app is horrendous! Full of bugs and frequent crashes.

Love the train, hate the App

The App for Brightline has been troublesome since the beginning, it seems they haven’t actually tested it on a phone. I am constantly getting logged out, and buttons are often hidden under the keyboard. Many times only some of the App GUI loads, or the server is unavailable. Truly slow App for a fast train.

Good Train, horrible app

I’ve enjoyed my rides on their trains and onboard staff are great but using the app or website is a significant impediment to riding Brightline. Slow, crashes, login issues, not very user friendly or intuitive, etc. Needs to be rebuilt from ground up, maybe they will with the Virgin Train rebranding.
