A must-have NOT!!!

no|show

Other than the annoyance of having to type in the scientific name of each of your plants (who bothers to know that anyways???) the weather location does not work, (a little loading circle barely seems to appear and don’t even bother trying to type it in, nothing happens). app is a bit quirky. Not much use you can get out of it. I’m not old but I’d much rather have a pen and paper in my hand to keep tabs on my plants and just use the basic “reminders” app on my IPhone for when I’m going to water. If you do want to know the scientific names of your plants just go to google. I tried typing in the common name and what do you know, a little icon pops up ... “ooops we don’t seem to have that plant! Create your own generic kind if you want...” Like, who does that!? I really hope my 5star rating of this makes it to the top of the list just so people will read this first and not waste their time. U R WELCOME.

Abandonware. Does not work.

Weather location does not work. Searching for common names of plants does not work.

Why

appdiscuser

Ive been using this app for about 6 months, and just today it completely stopped working, and wouldn't send me notifications or let me add new plants! This is awful, and it doesnt make sense because i have perfect wifi. Not the best thing ever when you have over 30 plants in your room

This app is pretty great. I like the information available for different plants and ability to set reminders for each type of care task. I just wish there was a feature that let you add a note or comment to each plant.

So far good, but still needs work

I have benign downloading a lot of apps and this one I like the most. I would love to be able to organize my plants by rooms, add notes to each plant, be able to have a calendar view so I can plan ahead. When I get a plant alert and I open the app I have to open every plant I have to find the plant alert. Will be nice to be able to open the app see highlighted that plant. Also, having more specific information about the plants, like how often fertilize and watering the plants to have a starting point and I can adjust depending my plant’s needs. For the moments I’m using the app Florish for that information. And the location service it’s not working, I don’t know if you have location services for the country of Panama. Great concept but app it’s not working, every time I need to add a reminder I receive the following message “ uh oh! something went wrong. Try again later.” I can’t add or modify a reminder that set up before this start happening. I image been using the app for around 3 days and I keep receiving the same message over and over again. I don’t see the point of this app with out the reminders.

DONT GET THIS APP

As a beginner gardener, I wanted to actually keep my plants alive this time. I figured if I had an app on my phone it would help me remember. I tried Gardenia because it was free and looked simple, but boy was I wrong. Not only does it not have some of my plants in the list, but it is completely defective. I can't use the ”new weather feature”, I can't even set reminders to water my plants! Every time I tried it said ”uh oh. An error occurred. Please try again later”. And I was on wifi, cellular and I tried on separate occasions. Extremely disappointed ?

Functions don’t work

@iamlisafoster

I’ve tried to add in alerts, I get an error message. Couldn’t find a common pothos plant ? I’m not a fan of this app. They need to fix the bugs!

Massive disappointment

I love the idea of this app. Unfortunately, it lacks most of my plants in the database - and I’m no rare plant grower. I decided to give it another shot because the idea is most of what I want but it can’t save any reminders I set, so it is useless to me. There are some smaller details too, like the watering standards. What does “average” mean? How about telling me how often I should set this watering notification to? Or better yet, simply add a watering notification on the plant and it adds an “average” notification for that plant? The icons are cute but they mean next to nothing. Since there hasn’t been an update in two years, I’m guessing this isn’t going to become the app I was hoping for.

Very few features work

This app still needs a lot of development help. The weather feature doesn’t work, many of the plants do not have images so you’re not sure if it’s the correct one or not... etc.
