February 2022: the only thing Flipboard does well on a consistent basis is crash September 2021: I am constantly amazed at the way Flipboard delivers “the best to serve relevant and beautiful ads to users” - this is per their FAQ pages. Now, the ads take up half the screen and if you try and scroll up; the ads scroll down. My biggest concern is how this update is pulling battery power. After 5 minutes, my iPhone begins to get warm (with no other apps running). I’m wondering just what is going on behind the scenes

I spend more time with Flipboard than any other app. They clearly have an algorithm that suits me. Interestingly, I very much prefer the app on my phone (iPhone 8+, then 12pro), over the iPad version. Which is not to diss the iPad app, just the extent of a personal preference. Keep up the good work FB!

With the latest update Norton keeps reporting Unsafe site. Not sure what’s going on with it.

Update: Developer seems to have promptly fixed the issue. App seems to be functioning as before, great. The only drawback is the paywall some articles have. Interface is great. I’ve been using it for years. I prefer this over Apple News. Prior: Annoying how an advertised app keeps launching and takes me to the App Store without even interacting with the advertisement. I could be reading an article and next thing you know I’m in the App Store for a random game or sometimes a video will play. Super annoying.
Text too small on iPhone

Since i got my iPhone instead of android i hate this app because the text is so small. Even in the largest setting.
At least I didn’t pay for it

My go to app for news but very unreliable. It will crash or get garbled graphics on a weekly basis. Also, flipping pages gets really slow at times but clearing cache seems to help. App support has been little help. Seemed to work better on my Samsung s8 than it does on an iPhone X.

The flipping instead of smooth scrolling is annoying. Even when you set it to scroll, it still flips between articles, just not as pronounced. The advertisements are terrible and also annoying. I’m also not a fan of much of the content that is aggregated. I found myself not able to use the app for more than a minute or two. Had to delete it. AP News is better but not perfect.
