Completely Ruined

figment2u

As if the sheer amount of intrusive ads weren’t enough reason to uninstall this app, the last update has deleted all user profile settings including all magazines and interests that were being followed. These devs basically nuked everyone’s account and provided no help for 3 days. There is still no resolution to fixing the issue and Flipboard just expects users to recreate what we have been curating for years.

Great app

VOZE

Probably my most used app on the iPad and phone. It has a permanent location on the dock. I do with I can customize what page the app launches on, however. Also, I do wish that the long press gesture to move/delete a feed requires more time - I trigger it by accident all the time

Best app to follow twitter lists!

Sad

I loved this app for years. Today I lost all my content and can get no help. Moving on. They fixed the problem. I’m back to loving it.

Declining User Experience

Steph Swoll

This app is very different from the Flipboard we’ve all come to know and love. There are lots of ads and an absurd amount of ad videos playing all over. It seems like it’s getting worse and worse. I’ve tried switching to Apple news but I found myself coming back to Flipboard because Apple news was lacking with the variety of content. For example my travel magazine on Flipboard shows a wide variety of content from different sources where as Apple news seems to mainly pull from The Points Guy. Which doesn’t help much since I separately follow The Points Guy. I understand Flipboard needs to pay the bills somehow but the user experience shouldn’t be compromised. All it takes is for someone to come up with a similar app, less ads and voilà — all your readers are gone. Please take it easy on the ads, especially video ads. Thank you!

Seems fixed

Tom1250

It looks like they solved a major bug where all my topics were removed randomly.

Where did my tiles go!?

jr3us

I had a defined set of tiles and now I only have3 generic ones! Bad on you Flipboard! 0 rating if I could! UPDATE 1/19/22: latest update did NOT restore my tiles! Update 2: my tiles are restored, but I had to kill the generic ones. Bringing the rating to 3 because of the downtime due to the effort above.

Ads that STILL hijack your iPhone

KllrDave

UPDATE: I keep giving Flipboard more chances and they keep making the same mistakes. Same story, same horrible ad experience that stops my music by scrolling thru the feed. Flipboard has earned another big time out. Deleting the app now. UPDATE: Gave Flipboard another chance. Their intrusive ads kept stomping on my music. Didn’t play sound from the ad, just constantly paused my music. What a horrible user experience. Back to the delete bin. Horrible ad experience where my device gets consistently hijacked and take me out of Flipboard to garbage I don’t want in the App Store Flipboard DELETED I’ve had it since 2011 so long my time user lost forever - Bye Felicia
