Decent port of the PSP version.

spectrumshade

Like the title states this is actually a decent port of the PSP version. It includes the bonus dungeons, etc. However the reason I give three stars are for a couple reasons. A few bugs, nothing game breaking but just annoying, you have to click every action whereas the PSP version had a “fast forward” for battles, and finally why no controller support?? The GUI ingame can be pretty terrible most times even just for moving.

Nice to see older classic game remakes

Guy with anger

It’s a breath of fresh air to be able to play games like these, especially when the developers went back and added far more graphic designers and remakes to actually set the game apart from its original counter part, even if it’s only new graphics. Over all if your a final fantasy junkie like me this is a very entertaining

Fantastic Port, Needs Better Touch Control Moving Through Town

anon0mous

This is a fantastic port. The only issue is moving through town or the over-world, since the left side of the screen controls the movement and the right side of the screen controls the action. This becomes an issue with iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Can the developers please add an additional touch controls configuration, selectable from the title screen, where: 1. Moving the Apple Pencil, stylus, or finger on screen, moves the player in the direction of the offset from the original touch location. Touches began = Origin CGPoint Touches moved = offset from origin CGPoint (left, right, up, down) Touches end = Nil origin CGPoint, End walking 2. A dedicated action button in the bottom right corner with Alpha 0.60. About the size of the menu button. Bonus if you could flip it for left handed folks. Or just add two dedicated action buttons on bottom left and bottom right. 3. Make the virtual DPAD transparent with Alpha 0.60 and about 1/3 the size. If you added this touch control configuration, I’d pay about $20 for this game.

Classic

Itachidragon

Always a favorite classic but I really wish my steelseries was supported like the other FF titles

Add Controller Support!

Monos Lukos

I own this game—it’s great. But I HATE the stupid digital d-pad. With iOS 13, we can pair PS4 and XBOX controllers—so please bring back controller support!!

No MFi Support

Longcoat000

I purchased this as part of a FF bundle. The graphics are excellent, but the on-screen control for movement is HORRIBLE! It’s a giant cross that takes up most of the center of the screen. I was excited to see that the FF games support MFi, so I purchased a PS4 controller. Unfortunately, it looks like FF1 & 2 don’t support MFi, so it looks like I’ll have to start my trip down retro memory lane with 3. 5-star game knocked down 1 star for bad touchscreen movement control and another star when there’s no MFi support (when most other games in the series have it).

Enjoy this game but....

Foodchef

Hi, I really enjoy this game but on the newer iPhone, XS Maxes, etc., the game isn’t to the size of the screen on the phone. Any chance it could be fixed?

Broken App: Don’t Buy It ‘Til They Fix It

Reviewer3987664

For $8, this ought to be less buggy. Three restarts in a row, and my red mage won’t gain HP on leveling up. It’s absurd that there coding issues this fundamental at this price. Not to mention the IP is 33 years old. C’mon, guys. Do better.

Needs updated!

Ricardo L

Doesn’t properly fit iPhone Max screens properly.

Needs QoL update

Fiji Kong

This game is great. Looks great and plays great. But there’s a desperate need of an update. Resolution is pretty bad. The music is very...compressed? The quality is very poor. The UI needs some improvement. It’s not bad, but they’ve done better with later ports. It’s a shame because this game and FFII this is the newest port that I’m aware of. The only one you can easily get a hold of legally and it should be so much better. The game can look great it can sound great but it doesn’t and that’s a shame.
