As other have mentioned, DPAD right isn’t working property, rendering the game practically unplayable. Why would you allow this SE? Why wouldn’t you fix? I’ll be getting my $8 back. Thanks

It’s inconceivable that there is no support for iCloud save backup, making it impossible to switch from iPad to iPhone play.

I saw a lot of one star reviews about the touch screen being unplayable and was initially concerned when I downloaded the game. While playing the game the first 30 seconds or so I genuinely thought moving right was broken like the 1 star reviews said. After 5 minutes I more or less figure out the controls and by 20 minutes playing they seemed perfectly natural. The touch screen is a little weird in that the directional movement is based on the left half of the screen. So if you tough the middle/right side of the screen nothing happens but if you touch just left of middle you move right. Takes a minute to figure out but perfectly manageable. Also, fun game XD (hope this review helps someone who is on the fence because of the 1 star directional control reviews).

1 Star likely not true. I had the same problem, sound was clearly on but no sound on game. No restarting of game, phone could solve. However, I noticed my call mute switch was set on. Turning this off (allowing phone call noise) allowed sound to work as expected. Great game, while maybe a little on the easy side you can see the depth that the original introduced to the world.

There should be a control panel with arrow buttons to move my character around on the side instead of two brackets that say ‘FINAL FANTASY’ on them. Having arrows and circles appear over my character and everything immediately in front of and around the character being covered whenever I move around is extremely unpleasant and makes playing the game harder in a bad way. Everything was the same except for when gameplay started and it came time to move the character. I can’t see whether or not my character is facing something and I don’t even get to see their little shuffle-walking animation. At least make it a toggle-able option to switch to a more classic movement system in the menu.
Slender am is the best
Fantastic port, along with all the other Square Enix iOS games. But the game itself is generic. If you are like me, and you are thinking of buying this just because it is the first final fantasy, I shall let you know that it feels like the first final fantasy. Nothing superb, nothing horrible, just very basic. On a more shocking note, this remastered soundtrack is obviously one of the best soundtracks in the whole series, alongside FFVII and FFVIII.
