I hope they fix the bugs. May be the reason for not buying another Toyota

may not get another toyota

The Entune suite is to put it frankly, terrible. I’ve just relocated and I rely on my GPS often. I can’t count the number of times it has dropped my gps while on the freeway and now I have to pull over to get it back up. It’s dangerous to use because if you get a phone call, I have to pick up my phone to get the gps back up. I may not get another Toyota when I return my lease solely based upon having to use this app

I have a 2018 Corolla and I see you can only use this app on smartphones and not iPhones. My messages don’t pop up on the screen. Why is that ?

Their out there, but they are not listening!

Yet another update, but not fixing what everyone has complained about. They have your money, they don’t care! I haven’t gone through the hundreds of complaints to see if anyone from Toyota has addressed any complaints, are they listening? I think I hear crickets!

The WORST app on my iphone

First, you must use this app to get your toyota to work with “apple car play”. Which is a fairly decent car suite. I’d rate apple car play a “B”. But Entune is a pain and a constant irritant- I’d rate an “F”! Whenever I start my 2019 Sienna Toyota Entune pops up and asks if I approve its use. I say “allow” and it switches from my Google Maps or Spotify to the Toyota Entune APP (while I’m driving) with no use or functionality – it simply says “connected” and that is all it does. So I have to touch my screen a second time while driving just to get rid of the useless page. A dangerous driving distraction with absolutely no value. This should all be happening in the background.

Kinda pointless but does what it needs

Since buying my 2018 Camry I’ve only used the Bluetooth audio for all my music and also as a way to hear directions when using navigation. Now that Toyota offered CarPlay update I use this everyday.

Toyota - are you reading these horrible reviews of your Entune system? Do you care?

We bought a RAV4 Hybrid last year and were stunned at how bad the Entune system is, especially the navigation and not being able to respond to text messages. And also the general interface. It appears we’re all stuck with this inadequate system for the life of our vehicles. Toyota, sure would be nice to see you care and will do something about it.

Worthless

Honestly it’s full of bugs, has little to no value. Ready Toyota, it’s simple, here you go: Garmin GPS, Apple compatibility , Google compatibility . You’re welcome. Love, Uncle Jimmy Update: got CarPlay added to the system along with Alexa and it’s still a piece of doo doo. Honestly Toyota why can’t you get this right? There are so many compatibility issues with both CarPlay and Alexa that I just run my Bluetooth and run my apps from my phone. OK here’s what you need to do: 1. Get a new development company 2. Do a real user acceptance testing 3. Make the app just connect and don’t have it keep asking me for permission to access. 4. Make it seamless. Your cars are great your knowledge of software rivals that of a 7th grade science class

Terrible

Don’t get it it’s worthless just use your phone for mags and music

Just do CarPlay

Vegan Nerd

Why does every auto manufacturer think they can write an app better than dedicated software developers? Why do we have to have a landscape of useless wanna be apps when there are plenty of perfectly fine, standardized apps and APIs already available? Entune is useless and it incorporates third rate apps I have never heard of and have no intention of ever using. I subscribe to Spotify. Let me use it through CarPlay. Frankly, I am not even sure what entune3.0 is supposed to do for me. It’s just a major fail for Toyota. Give it up guys. I paid a lot for my Prius Prime, just tack on a few more bucks to pay for your CarPlay royalties and fire your entune developer. I assume you have just one from the look of this app.

Awesome car...but

The 2019 Camry is an awesome car but the entune, well Toyota, just leave this option off. It’s embarrassing. Great car though!
